It has been a little over two years since the second season of Dog Days have aired. I have to admit that the sequel improved every aspect of the first season. Instead of focusing on melodrama that felt out-of-place, it introduced another kingdom into the war games while bringing Nanami and Rebecca into the mix. To me, the second season was an improvement since it had a lot of enjoyable moments.
Although Seven Arcs announced a third season, we didn’t hear much about it until last year when they announced that it would air in 2015 during winter. With that, did it live up to the two-year wait?

For a while, Kyoto Animation’s recent effort on their in-house adaptations has left me with mixed feelings, except for the first season of Chuunibyou and Free Eternal Summer. Besides the animation, the stories in particular did not impress me as much. However, when they announced that they would be making Amagi Brilliant Park by Shoji Gatoh, who also wrote Full Metal Panic into an Anime, I became somewhat excited.
