After Ika was abused in the last episode, she finally gets to relax and have fun a bit. Maybe not since she gets sick in the first part, but after that it became a really enjoyable and hilarious moment.

If hypnotism could cure masochism so easily, then Mio wouldn’t need those extreme experiments. Unfortunately, the world isn’t so ideal and as a result, Taro’s masochism is replaced with a wide range of rather perverted fetishes.

In this stimulating episode of Tantei Opera Milky Holmes, the girls walk to a beach to unearth something that will restore their Toys. In the preview segment for this episode, it was expected to see some fanservice even though its not the amount most people expected.

As shown in the last episode, Ika is a genius at math. Sadly, Ika seemed to lose her person to prey on. In addition, the American alien scientist takes her away since Ika messed up. I guess Ika is having a really bad day with this.

Kirino: O(≧∇≦)O Kyousuke: (・_・?) Kuroneko:( ̄へ ̄)Saori: ( ̄ー ̄)
Well, it’s a good episode, but I don’t want to spoil what I have to say about my upcoming editorial. I’ll give you some hints: it deals with the certain faction of the Anime Fandom/Blogosphere and genre elitist haters.

Since it’s the midpoint of the season, I would like to share my overall thoughts on what I have seen. This midseason impressions post should give you a good idea on what score I will ultimately give the show as the season finishes. [1. Original Image]

In this incredible episode of Tantei Opera Milky Holmes, Sherlock was quite surprised to meet someone with the same appearance, which is Princess Claris of Marlo. However, Claris desires to live a life as a normal girl so she doesn’t have to marry the man that she does not like…

Rihoko is now committed to her diet. As part of her effort to lose weight, she is exercising on a skating rank to burn off some calories so she can lose weight and win over Junichi’s heart. I still have a gut feeling this is not going to work.

After the chaos from the last episode regarding Kirino’s best friend, Ayase, the spotlight is taken off from Kirino and we are back to normalcy. Kyousuke stays over Manami’s house to get ready for Halloween, which is a very pointless holiday in my opinion. They don’t know that her grandfather has some silly schemes up his sleeves to have their granddaughter go out with Kyousuke.

In this lovely episode of Tantei Opera Milky Holmes, we are introduced to two lovely girls named Mary and Kate for whom they saved Hercule and the cat. However, the girls don’t know about the ladies malicious activities towards Kamaboko that dealt with their love lives.

In this episode, the focus is now on the twins (Hozuki and Bonbori) and Ganruyuu. They go to a ball to try and defeat the mysterious woman that murders people in this mission.

I neglected Ika-chan since I was so occupied with Zakuro. Also, my main laptop, Fujibayashi Kyou broke while I was at college. Since I got a replacement last night, I decided to watch the two episodes I have left sitting.

In the last episode, Ayase ran into Kirino when the crew heads home from the Summer Comiket. Unfortunately, Ayase feels a bit concerned about Kirino from a feeling that Kirino was hiding something from her. It ultimately opens the Pandora’s box of trouble that causes their friendship to break apart temporarily.

Well, this is probably the wackiest episode I ever seen since it has parodies of other anime, and perverted men and girls. It also has an extremely smart, cute loli girl who develops a machine that turns people into perverts FOR SCIENCE!

Well it’s a new arc and the focus is now on Rihoko for whom she is a very unlucky childhood friend of Junichi. Unfortunately, Rihoko’s love towards Junichi seems to be unrequited even though they are best friends. I wonder why?

It has been awhile since I watched Amagami SS. The reason I fell behind because I was busy with the fall anime. This is why I did not focus on writing about Nanasaki Ai’s arc in great detail, as I originally wanted to. Since I have some free time today, I took the time to finish it. After I finished the remaining two episodes in her arc, I was very disappointed for reasons I am going to explain. [1. Original Image]

Unlike the last three episodes, some people in the anime blogosphere went gaga over this one fanservice scene. I wondered about it when I watched this episode. Fortunately, I did not get the same reaction from that scene. I probably did not react to it as much since I saw the comedy value in it, not the naughty side of things.

In this fun filled episode of Tantei Opera Milky Holmes, the four girls gains a rival in capturing the criminals. The Genius 4 makes an appearance on the television. Not only that, Kokoro, a twin tail tsundere flips the bird ON TV! I thought this was a children’s show? I guess not.

After all the drama regarding Yuuno’s dramatic past, it is time for more comedy. In this wacky episode, Mio decides to take Taro on a date to see if the myth of “love triumphs masochism” is true.

After I spent all my time studying for the big exam, I am finally done and can relax a bit before the exams start up again. What is a better way to do it by watching Shinryaku! Ika Masume. Like the last two episodes, it continues with the summer fun. In this particular episode, it focuses on ghosts, killer orcas (or dolphins) and a surfer who are scared of non-humans.

After I watched the third episode, the show gave me some thoughts about the acceptance of eroge games in general. Even though Kyousuke’s father was right about the questionable content in eroge and that minors shouldn’t play it, I support Kyousuke’s argument since it’s unfair to shun eroge while accepting violent video games like Halo 3. I believe the double standard in western society is highly hypocritical since they accept violent games while shunning eroge. Regardless of content, both Eroge and Violent Games could become a bad influence on someone for the questionable content it has. I think this double standard exists as a result of the cultural differences between Eastern Asia (in this instance, Japan) and the West. [1. Image Source]
