I fear this day… Now, I can never see idols in the same way thanks to this anime.

Well, it’s almost the end of April and with that, it’s time to share my thoughts on some Anime related music. This time, I’m focusing my attention on a popular voice actress and singer, Nana Mizuki. (Image Source)

It has been a while since I wrote guest reviews of related singles and soundtracks relating to Anime. Since I want to come up with another single review within a few months, I suppose I should share my thoughts on some good music I heard from the shows I watched. With that, I come up with the “Monthly Anime Music Ramblings,” an idea I had in my mind two nights ago.
In this feature, I will pick one to three track(s) from a particular series or artist. Then, I will explain what I like about the song along with other aspects like instrumentals and singer’s performance. This will replace the yearly list of favorite artists along with the best songs from a particular season.
In this inaugural post, I will talk about three tracks from The Idolmaster that really impressed me. (Image Source)

After all the girls rediscover the importance of unity from Haruka’s emotional leave, everyone is now excited for the live performance.
…
As the Producer recovers at the hospital following the unfortunate accident, Haruka still feels devastated from the continual distancing of everyone.
…
While all the girls becomes increasingly busy with their various tasks, Haruka becomes dejected for not being able to gather the same enthusiasm as she did before. Thus, it quickly goes downhill from there as an unexpected tragedy strikes.

After Chihaya confronted her past and recovered from it rather quickly, she performs a special song to turn a new page on her career. Amidst this, Kuroi attempts a last-ditch sabotage to 765 Productions again. Sadly, it doesn’t quite work out and results in the unexpected…
…
From the aftermath of an article in a gossip magazine regarding Chihaya’s past, it kind of shows how judgmental society is even though it clearly crosses the line.
…
This episode obviously puts the spotlight on Takane, which is one of my favorite idols aside from Azusa and Chihaya not because of her looks, but her mysterious personality.

For a while now, Ritsuko became a full-fledged female producer of Ryuuguu Komachi. Somehow, Azusa comes down with an illness, which causes her to become afraid of the inevitable…
…
Unfortunately, 961 Production couldn’t just leave the girls alone and has to bully our beloved Hibiki. Cue fan rage at the sight of Project Jupiter…
…
After all that drama, the girls fight on and show their fame on a live variety show. Believe me, it’s really fun.
…
Though the success of the 765 Production’s live concert, the girls have finally become more popular. Now, they are taking on more jobs on their road to fame. What they don’t know is that 961 Productions is out to sabotage their success.
…
The big day has finally arrived and everyone’s excited for the performance. Unfortunately, tension increases as a typhoon makes landfall, leaving Ritsuko and her unit stranded with the strong possibility of not making it on time.
…
Through some miscommunication, it caused Miki to get her hopes up a bit too much. Ultimately, Ritsuko’s rejection crushed her dreams and this causes her to change her mind and quit until the Producer convinces her to come back.
…
At last, the Producer gets a performance at a concert for the girls. They become excited and start to practice their new routine amidst some setbacks.
…
The challenge is on for 765 Productions (led by Ryuuguu Komachi) as they complete an idol-sporting event against other agencies. Unfortunately, there is one group of girls who aims to dampen their spirit to win.
…
Sorry about that long delay… Since the subs got delayed for the past two weeks due to some extraordinary circumstances, I had to put this show off and watch some of my backlog. Gratefully, episodes 8 and 9 were finally released today, so I’m confident that I will get caught up by Monday.
As for this episode, Azusa getting lost and a group of bodyguards chasing after her was a fun experience. All of this happened with her wearing a nice-looking wedding dress.
…
Well, sort of… It’s not like she had a choice or anything.
It felt like a long time since Tantei Opera Milky Holmes ended back in December of last year. This show was particularly fun not because the girls were adorable, but for the outright hilarious comedy that didn’t involve the overused tsundere archetypes. With a second season coming next winter, I can only wonder about the shenanigans Milky Holmes and the Genius 4 will be up to.
For now, we have the summer special 1, which centers on Kokoro’s journey of becoming an idol shortly after the G4’s demotion for failing to capture Aresenè among other things.

Compared to the other girls, Yayoi is not so fortunate since she isn’t well off and her parents have to work most of the time in order to support all six children. Out of curiosity, Iori and Hibiki tags along to experience how Yayoi shop for food and meet her siblings.

765 Production’s future now looks brighter as Ritsuko’s new idol unit Ryuuguu Komachi got approved with Azusa, Ami and Iori being a part of it. While they work on their gig for their debut on television, the Producer becomes increasingly anxious that it leads us to many unforeseen mistakes.
