I admit that I have a soft spot when it comes to slice of life shows with cute girls. When I found out that Hanayamata has an American girl from New Jersey who wants to do Yosakoi (よさこい) a type of traditional Japanese traditional dance, I decided to take a look.

Ever since the first season of Love Live School Idol Project aired last winter, the series has gained a considerable amount of popularity. It has been a while since I have done anything with the Idolmaster franchise. When I discovered that Bandai Namco released a 2nd idol producing game under the 2nd vision series of games called The Idolmaster One for All. Since this game is not story oriented compared to the previous games and is more akin to a slice of life, I will be giving my final impressions of the gameplay. (Image Source)

Yamamoto Yutaka failed to Save Anime after a few years of being sacked from Kyoto Animation. While Fractle was an ambitious project, it failed to live up to the hype. As expected, this failure was a big blow to his ego mostly because he stated that if the show flopped, he would retire. Since then, we haven’t heard much from him until now.
In the fall of 2013, it seems that Yutaka couldn’t stand not directing any Anime, thus he unretired himself to make a new show. What type of show did he choose to make? That’s right, an idol themed one. With that, we will take a look of the prequel that premiered, Wake Up Girls, The Seven Idols prequel feature film that premiered on the same day the first episode aired. (Image Source)

In the past few years, shows involving idol singers has gotten really popular. While Love Live School Idol Project was in the works since 2010, it finally debuted as an Anime during the winter of last year. So, how well does it compare to other idol themed Anime? Let’s see. (Image Source)

Unless you are living under the rock, a fellow blogger named zzeroparticle who runs the Anime Instrumentality Blog has created the first tournament for Anime Music. If you like listening to Anime Music like I do, go ahead and nominate your favorite songs. But in this post, I’m going to discuss the top ten songs I nominated. As always, my picks are subjective so you don’t have to agree with them.
So, what criteria did I use for my nomination ballot? First, I only considered opening, insert songs and ending themes for shows I have watched and listened. Second, I also factor in how good the song sounds along with how memorable and enjoyable the song for my nominations. While my choices are biased for recent Anime, hopefully you won’t judge me.
With that, I will share the top 5 picks I nominated for the tournament first with some arrangements on the piano. (Image Source)

With a few days left until Christmas, we focus on a girl who helped saved the last cultural festival from those vulture capitalists in Tari Tari. (Image Source)

For a while now, PA Works have earned a reputation for it’s excellent production values, probably to the point where it can rival Kyoto Animation. They have done mostly original stories, which is one of the reasons why their shows tend to start on a good note. However, they also have a tendency to go sour at the middle and it was especially apparent with Hanasaku Iroha where it looses track of what it originally set out for and goes to the uncharted territory of uneasiness like unnecessary crossdressing and senseless love triangles. With Mari Okada completely out of the equation, will Tari Tari address the issues that the studio’s other works had? We’ll just have to find out. (Image Source)
