Love Live School Idol Project 2 – Episode 4 – Nico’s Dark, Sad and Hidden Past

The tension is building… will they make it?
The tension is building… will they make it?

The results are in… Will they make it to the next round? Also, what is up with Nico?

Believe it or not, Honoka dreaming that Muse won’t make it to the next round is basically trolling at this point. If they actually lost, this would have been the last episode. In reality, they made it to the next round, but barely since they took 4th place. One of the reasons they got fourth place is because Muse is still rather unknown outside their local vicinity. Have they not dropped out of the first Love Live, I think they would have a bigger following and possibly come neck to neck with A-RISE. Because of this, I think Muse has to start promoting themselves more often while spend more time practicing if they want to win the next round. Remember, only one group can advance, so they need to work harder if they want to become number one.

Eli is not impressed that her face was replaced with Nico's.
Eli is not impressed that her face was replaced with Nico’s. But, I have to give Nico some credit as she knows how to use Photoshop well.

Aside from that, I’m quite surprised that Nico has such a dark past. Apparently, she wanted to become a school idol, but couldn’t get it off the ground due to lack of support. Since her siblings look up to her as a super idol, she can’t possibly tell them that she was unable to achieve her dream. This of course poses a problem for Muse for the fact that she still holds on to the past. Thankfully, I’m glad that the group convinced her to perform as a “super idol” in front of her siblings for the last time so that she can move on and help Muse become number one.

Being an idol is suffering...

While this episode was not as exciting compared to the last, I’m glad that Nico finally got some character development. I admit that the chase scenes, the Photoshopping and her siblings calling the other members of Muse “background dancers” were hilarious and gave me a good laugh. Aside from that, Muse can now focus on promoting themselves while aiming to become better than A-RISE.

That was mean of them to troll the audience. I was shocked. Poor Rin. She can’t help how she was born. Her body shape does have some advantages at least.

Yeah, it was kind of mean for them to do that as I would have expected that they will at least make the first round. But still, I admit that I do enjoy Rin’s personality.

Kokoro was so adoreable in this episode. And although flat did win for once, Nico should know that oppai is a likely requirement for a Super idol. Just ask Super Sonico.

There is probably no wonder why she wanted to photoshop her face onto Eli’s body too because well, she has a good figure although Nozomi’s is the biggest.

Still, I’m surprised that she didn’t photoshop her face onto Maki’s… I wonder why… :p
