Believe it or not, Gakkou Gurashi was popular enough to receive a live action movie. You might be wondering, aren’t anime live actions usually bad? When the west tries to adapt Japanese manga/anime into a live action, the result ends up disastrous. Still, I didn’t expect too much from this since the live action movie of Gakkou Gurashi is an abridged version of the anime. What I saw was surprising.
Note: This review contains anime/manga spoilers for the school arc. I highly suggest watching the anime or read the school arc first before reading this review.

Now that Kanon finally gotten over her lingering anxiety issues, can she and her friends make it to nationals? The answer becomes obvious.

Since Halloween is coming, I decided that it’s probably a great time to review Gakkou Gurashi. Despite being a Manga Time Kirara title and a schoolgirl series, it’s not your typical one. Sure, the first episode seems deceiving, but it throws a zombie apocalypse into the mix.
While there is also a live action movie, which I will review later, I wonder how the anime turns out.

Since the Fall season last year was quite busy, I didn’t quite finish the anime for the third generation of Love Live.
As expected, instead of doing the whole save the school thing, Nijigasaki High School Idol Club finally shake things up with focus on the individual idols. Not only that, the main character also isn’t a school idol at all. With that, does it live up to the previous generations? Let’s find out.

While it’s been a while since I watched a romantic comedy involving a male lead. Of course, in recent lead, there is a trend that the female romantic interest harasses or bullies the male lead. Yep, I think this is becoming a trend with Takagi-san and Uzaki-chan ha Asobitai in the last few years.
Of course, Nanashi, a well-known Pixiv artist who mostly create pornographic works eventually worked on a web comic titled Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san (lit. Don’t bully me, Miss Nagatoro), which is his first clean work. This is the first series that started this trend. While their sweet side exists, the big difference is that instead of the romantic interest being angry or embarrassed when they are in an awkward situation like a tsundere, they tease, insult, or toy with their emotions. With that in mind, is Nagatoro-san, the start of this trend of romantic comedy genre shows any good?

Now that Azusa manages to return to her normal self, she has the sudden urge to open a café. I wonder how it will turn out.

The results has finally came in. Obviously, Himeno shows a good deal of anxiety whether she will receive a reward or not. I guess it’s a moment of truth.

Vlad Love is one of those comedy shows that makes you wonder what is about. It’s basically a girl meets vampire girl. Yes, it’s starting to sound like a similar premise with Tonari no Kyuuketsuki-san. The only difference is that while there is not as much yuri, its 100 times crazier. Not to mention, it’s the first anime series that Oshii Mamoru made in over three decades. The answer is, does it live up to its name?

In the late 2010s, it seems that more yuri-genre shows are being adapted into anime. In 2018, we had Citrus, Happy Sugar Life, Asago to Kase-san, and Yagate Kimi ni Naru. To continue that trend, in 2019, Fragtime is another hour-long original animation adaptation of a two volume yuri-genre manga with some science fiction elements mixed into it.
Of course, this show had production problems, but for not the reasons you think. While show made it to theaters, after a few weeks, Tear Studio disappeared as they went bankrupt. Therefore, people who worked on the production didn’t get paid. While this original animation eventually made it onto Blu-ray and DVD. You might be wondering, was the wait worth it?

It seems that anime involving music are very popular, especially when it comes to idols and girl bands. Show By Rock!! Mashumairesh!! is Sanrio’s third installment of the franchise based on the mobile game. The big difference is that the third season feels more like a spinoff as it focuses on three new bands. Of course, the main band is obviously, Mashumairesh, which the main character, Howan forms with three other friends she meets, Himeko, Delmin, and Ruhuyu.
