Cue – Episode 12 – Haruna’s First Surprise Named Role

March 26, 2022 by Chikorita157 2 Comments

It’s obvious that Maika is exhausted after that recording session.

The final recording for Bloom Ball is here and Haruna notices a certain surprise after looking at the script. Did Haruna got lucky or something?

Rio notices something in the last episode’s script.

With Bloom Ball almost airing soon and the recording rapping up, Haruna and her friends only have one more episode to record. It’s obvious that everyone at the AiRBLUE dorms plan to do a viewing. When Haruna and her friends went into the staff room, Rio was looking at the script. She notices something about the character Momomi. Haruna doesn’t know she is voicing her.

Haruna and Maika realizes it’s Momomi is that girl from the scene they recorded together.

Of course, we find out that the scene Momomi shows up is a voice that Tsubaki hears when she is knocked out for a bit during a match. Indeed, this is the character that was previously named Student A in the first episode. Believe it or not, the Anime expanded on Momomi’s character as she was the girl who was on the Bloom Ball team until she got injured and left the team. I can see why Momomi has an expanded appearance in the anime as she is an important character in the Tsubaki spinoff

After Haruna agreed to do the part, before the recording start, she talked with Maika. Of course, Haruna just remembered her dream. After all, a lot has happened since Haruna joined AiRBLUE. At least she got closer to her dream and a lot faster compared to poor Shizuka, it took her a long time to do so, and she had to do several odd jobs in the meantime. which took a long time to get one named role. For Haruna, only a few months, I guess.

At last, everyone celebrates the recording being finished.
Keiko has something special for Haruna.
I have to admit this scene was heartwarming.

When the recording wraps up, the leading characters received flowers. Of course, Keiko handed out illustrations of the characters each voice actress voiced. Haruna also receives one with a special message. Keiko shared it’s thanks to Haruna that she became able to draw Momomi. Of course, Haruna becomes emotional as this role allowed her to find a footing after experience the feeling of being left behind compared to everyone else. Either way, this moment was heartwarming as Keiko hugs her.

This scene is what started it all. Also, it’s nice that Momomi has a little bit more screen time this time.

Believe it or not, everyone managed to make it to the viewing. It seems that everyone seems satisfied by how the first episode turned out. Believe it or not, Momomi seems to have more screen time compared to the draft animation seen in the first recording. This shows how much of an impact Haruna’s performance has on Keiko in finally incorporating this rather important character into Tsubaki’s character development.

Either way, with the first half done, I wonder what is in store for the second. We’ll find out soon enough.

Glad we finally got to hear Haruna’s dream and how not only her greatness brought Momomi to life but Momomi helped make her dream come true. It was all excellent. Not to mention more evidence Haruna and Maika are soul mates.

Sad we were denied the Wizard of Oz play getting its own episode but Team Leftovers will supposedly be the focus of the next episode.

Looking forward to the second half in two weeks.

Not too surprising to see Haruna bring some inspiration for Momomi becoming an actual character. Still, it’s good that she didn’t go down the spiral of depression and not getting a named role. I guess it’s thanks to making her own role. Still, I do wonder what Haruna and Maika head from here.
