Cue! – Episode 5 – First Recording Session Suspense

February 5, 2022 by Chikorita157 5 Comments
It’s obvious that Haruna is hiding something.

The big day has finally come as Haruna, Maika, Honoka and Shino have their first recording session.  How well does it turn out?

As expected, Haruna with her friends are taking about her new rooms. While Maika, Honoka, and Shino shared their thoughts about their new rooms, Haruna is hiding something. Not only that, Haruna snuck out and came back with a big containing a big cabbage.

Haruna caught sneaking in pets, but the girls allow her to keep it.

Meanwhile, Maika, Honoka, and Shino becomes suspicious of Haruna. Yes, they even went to Haruna’s door and hear her try to feed someone. They opened the door and they saw Haruna with her pet turtle.

I find it funny how Haruna decides to become sneaky about her pet turtle. She hid it because it was against the rules and it’s something that keeps her company. Thankfully, Masaki have them talk it over and Maika, Honoka, and Shino said it’s alright. After all, Honoka had to separate from her pet dog and doesn’t want the same to happen for Haruna. Still, I feel that Haruna didn’t have to be sneaky about it. Being found out is worse than just telling them up front.

Unable to sleep, they practiced together.

As expected, Haruna feels nervous about the recording session tomorrow. Of course, Maika feels the same way. Obviously, Haruna is still practicing a lot when Maika practice her part. This practice session plays a big part of how the recording turned out, more on that soon.

Keiko having the same moment like last time.

At last, we see a glimpse of how a recording session is like. The four other girls from AiRBLUE spectate the recording session for some experience. When it come to that scene, it seems that Haruna and Maika did well. Of course, this catches the attention of Keiko since it’s exactly what she had envisioned in her story. She admits that student played a significant part in Tsubaki becoming interested in the sport. I can see why this scene is important.

It seems that Haruna and her friends have fun with their first recording session.

As expected, the director felt that there is too much feeling. Either way, they have Haruna and Maika rerecord the scene with more feeling and that time, Keiko seems satisfied with it. Still, Haruna reminded Keiko of someone named Umenoki Momomi. I wonder who she is. Either way, it seems that Haruna, Maika, Honoka, and Shino had fun, although exhausted from their first recording session.  Of course, this session is just for the commercial and there is more to come.

Very cool learning more about a recording session or get a refresher after Sore ga Seiyu long ago.

Haruna continues to show her strong potential. Hopefully she goes far.

Yes, it was interesting to see how the recording went for sure. Hopefully Haruna shows more potential so she won’t get stuck in non-named roles.
