Yakunara Mug Cup Mo – Episode 6 – The Inspiration That Himeno is Looking For

May 10, 2021 by Chikorita157 3 Comments

Obviously, it’s getting a bit too hot here.

After Himeno took a breather, summer has finally started. Of course, she has no idea what to make. Of course, Mami helps Himeno to create some inspiration on what to create.

Certainly, it gotten even hotter after Himeno, Nao, and Mika went on the spy mission on Mami from last time. Yep, with summer kicking in full gear, there is not going to be any breeze. Still, it’s good that Mami brought some ice pops. At least they don’t have to deal with the Brood X cicadas that are about to come out on the east coast. Still, Mami mentioned that she has ice cream when she is in her school club. Of course, she won’t reveal what club it is.

Yet another nice Nao and Himeno moment.
Obviously, everything is fun for Mika.

With that, Mami brings a flyer about the competition for creating Mino ware. Of course, Touko mentioned it and she have an idea what to create. As usual, Mika will be Mika as she will create her usual creations. Nao points out that one can submit a presentation of an idea without being physical. Yep. It’s obvious that she wants to impress Himeno. Himeno compliments her and of course, Nao blushes.

Sadly, Himeno doesn’t know what to make.

Of course, the pressure is on Himeno since she doesn’t know what to create. While Mami said that Himeno should just have fun with the competition, she still feels anxious. That night, Himeno sees Mami as she has a meal and some alcohol. Yep, the family’s café now also has a bar thanks to their grandmother who has friends who do it.

Aside from that, Mami asks if Himeno has any plans for tomorrow. She doesn’t as Mami wants to show her something She reveals that the local works behind the school is adding a youth pottery section. Apparently, the school was a pottery school before the war. The pottery club still exists since it’s a cultural treasure. Yep, that is the best way to keep a club alive.

Himeno becomes amazed by the kappa statues.
Of course, this is the main attraction. It becomes obvious who made it.

While Mami sort some things out in the local works building, Himeno takes a different path. She saw the kappa statues and a great view of the city. She hears something funny, and it comes from a strange pottery statue that is colorful and makes noise from the wind.

Yep, it seems that Himeno just became famous.
At least Himeno finds out how her mother made that statue.

Eventually, she heads to the building when she finds out that Himeno’s mother made the statue. Yes, Isomura, who is from City Hall reveals that Himena made it. She becomes excited when she finds out that Himeno is Himena’s daughter. Yep, Himeno’s mother is that famous. Himena also left notes on how she created the statue and even skipping classes to do so. Like Mika, she is free-spirited.

It’s good that Himeno finally finds a resolve to her anxieties.

From this, it seems that Himeno’s anxieties as finally melt away. Still, she wonders how her mother created something that beautiful. Either way, Himeno decides to not worry anymore and just create something she wants. This makes me wonder what she will create.

Cool learning more about Himena and that sculpture was incredible. No wonder Himeno’s left awestruck. Hopefully it helped her come one step closer to uncovering her idea for her own art.

Himeno’s mother is definitely something. Yes, I hope that she will come up with something very soon.
