Teio finally makes a full recovery despite losing her chance at the Triple Crown. Of course, she has competition, including McQueen.
Sure, Teio has a setback last time as she lost her chance at the Triple Crown. Now that she is back to her full capacity, it seems that she is ready to stage a comeback. While there is a nice moment Team Spica without Suzuka bringing in the new year, it’s funny how Gold Ship receives a worst luck reading. Still, I hope that someday, she will get closer to McQueen.
Aside from that, it seems that Tazuna gives the news that Teio and McQueen becomes nominated for the horse girl of the year. Yep, it’s mostly because of Teio’s coming very close to getting the Triple Clown to McQueen’s 2nd place win. I can see why given their achievements so far while Vodka and Daiwa Scarlet bicker with each other. In comparison, Teio’s and McQueen rivalry is serious as they plan to race with each other again.
I find it funny how Team Canopus’s members takes notice of Spica’s success. Instead of training, which will help them get there, they meet to come up with some strategies. I doubt they will overcome them anytime soon since Twin Turbo struggled in her last race. Still, I find it funny how Twin Turbo has the nerves to shoot a letter arrow saying, “Drown with Spica!” Of course, the comedy intensifies as Turbo uses the wrong word to declare a challenge on them.
Aside from that, it’s interesting to learn about Teio’s rivalry with McQueen. On the first day of attending the academy, she saw McQueen come out on the red carpet from a lumazine. Not only that, McQueen is already representing the new class. Yep, Teio seems to have mixed feelings of McQueen stealing the thunder from Rudolf. Still, it’s quite impressive that McQueen and Teio compete during practice. Not only that they run into each other each night for several days, way before they join Team Spica. I know it’s a coincidence, but we can’t forget that Gold Ship is the one that brought McQueen on the same team as Teio.
As for McQueen’s race, it seems that not too many participants as there are only 5 other competitors she is facing. Yes, it seems that initially, McQueen struggled a bit as others are trying hard. Of course, McQueen found the right moment to come out ahead and grow a sizable lead before winning first place.
I must admit, it’s suspenseful, but this is a good indication of how intense the race between McQueen and Teio will be next time. After all, Teio needs to win the Spring Tennsoushou to stage her comeback.
