Bang Dream! Third Season – Episode 6 and 7 – The Surprising Result

March 4, 2020 by Chikorita157 Leave a Comment
ChuChu is obviously in it to win it.

At last, Yukina went ahead and took ChuChu’s challenge. However, it seems that Sayo is having second thoughts about Yukina’s decision.

It’s quite obvious that ChuChu really wants to crush Roselia. After all, she doesn’t like how Yukina turned down her offer of becoming her producer. But something changed. Yukina decides to take the challenge after bushing her off so many times. This makes me wonder why the change of heart? Maybe ChuChu kind of reminds of Yukina’s younger self.

Obviously, Sayo is not happy how Yukina out of nowhere accepts ChuChu’s challenge.

Of course, Sayo was against Yukina’s decision. It’s probably because Roselia has too many things on their plate. Not only they are preparing for the competition with RAISE A SUILEN, but also Bang Dream and also Future World Fes. She even questions Yukina’s motives. The disagreement got so heated between Sayo and Yukina that she eventually decides to practice on her own. Lisa tries to convince Sayo otherwise, but it doesn’t quite work out.

It seems that Sayo’s plan is not going to plan.

Sayo decides to take things in her own hand. She takes Hina to visit ChuChu’s place to try to put an end to this. Instead, ChuChu is not very insistent in giving up on her grudge on Roselia. With that, Sayo works hard to prepare for the competition to beat RAISE A SUILEN. She wants to prove them wrong.

That defeat is brutal and now ChuChu is being a sore winner.
Sayo trying to improve after Roselia’s big defeat.

Sadly, things don’t quite work out as planned. While Roselia and RAISE A SUILEN both had great performances, Roselia still lost by 51 votes. Believe it or not, this loss was so great that Roselia dropped to 2nd place in the preliminary rounds.

It seems that not everyone is sharing ChuChu’s feelings.

You might be wondering if this is worth it for Yukina to take up on this endeavor. After all, she just handed ChuChu an ego trip over defeating Roselia. The funny thing is that Rei, Rokka, and Masuki doesn’t seem to share the same feeling during their celebration party.

It’s obvious that Lisa can relate to Rei’s experience. It’s not because of her wanting to play music, but something more than that.
Sayo kind of overdone the practicing thing.

On the other hand, we see Roselia feeling a bit down from the defeat. We see this especially with Sayo. She beats herself up for letting her fans down. She practiced harder. This started to affect her health that she eventually collapsed. From this, we finally learn the reason why Yukina decided to take ChuChu’s challenge.

Yukina finally comes clean about her intentions of accepting ChuChu’s challenge.

When she is alone with Sayo in her bedroom, she revealed that she wanted to broaden the horizon for the band. While Yukina understands that Roselia and RAISE A SUILEN are different bands and promote themselves differently, she saw this as an opportunity to grow the band.  Sure, the loss is disappointing, but Roselia needs a defeat so they won’t become complacent. Not only that, they gained the experience of competing with other bands. After all, each band have different styles and ways on how they perform their music.

Despite this, it seems that everyone seems to support them despite their narrow defeat. If Ran and her friends didn’t show the pictures of all the support Roselia received from their fans, they would feel worse.

Thankfully, it’s nice to see Roselia bounce back quickly from their defeat with their next performance. Perhaps RAISE A SUILEN’s lead in the Bang Dream competition will most likely become temporary. I am very confident that Roselia will take back the top spot in no time. Also, it’s interesting how Rei decides to share how ChuChu recruited her to Lisa. This seems awfully familiar to how Tae got Rei into playing bass guitar. Likewise, Lisa shares the same experiences with Yukina, but for different and obvious reasons.

Nonetheless, it seems that Poppin Party has their work cut out for them. After all, they are way behind. This makes me wonder, will they be able to make it pass the cut? We have to wait and see next time.
