It looks like Kaoruko came up with a good idea for her manga after experiencing her first few days of high school.
In this episode, Kaoruko have her manuscripts checked by Amisawa. She decided to make a school girl manga involving Crêpes. Sadly, Amisawa rejects the idea. Eventually, she has her friends give her some suggestions which led to her trying out different outfits and hair styles. Ririka eventually suggests sketching and Koyume proposes sketching contest. The girls eventually start to work on their sketches. Later, Kaoruko faints from a fever from overworking and not eating. After Kaoruko recovered, Ririka cooks Kaoruko food that Kaoruko likes after she recovered from her fever.
From the looks of it, it seems that Kaoruko is finally using her experiences as a high school student and incorporating them into her story. Definitely, school girls will go and hang out at a Crêpes shop after school. Still, Kaoruko still have a long way to go. One of the girls’ reaction when she has some cream fell on her body, Ruki doesn’t believe it’s realistic.
Also, it’s funny to see Koyume complain about the clothing that Kaoruko drew for one of her characters. It’s obvious that her grandmother inspired Kaoruko’s clothing choice. Even so, it’s sad to see her become offended over the fact that she is still wearing the same clothes from her childhood.
Still, I have to admit that the clothing and the hair styles her friends have Kaoruko try looks great. Of course, they even dress her in a grade-schooler outfit, which depreciate Kaoruko understandably. Even so, I think the frilly clothing that Kamuri usually wear from Slow Start would look cute on Kaoruko. Still, it’s funny how Koyume and Ruki went on a field day taking pictures of Kaoruko in different outfits and hair styles.
Also, there is another funny moment when Kaoruko return from school. She witnesses a big misunderstanding as she saw Ruki about to kiss Koyume who was only wearing her underwear. Kaoruko’s reaction when she found out was hilarious. Thankfully, Kaoruko learns to use to use curves rather than just drawing just straight lines from Ruki.
Of course, there is Koyume complaining about her weight from her growing chest and that she would rather have a slim figure like Ruki’s. Yep, it’s funny how this causes Koyume and Ruki to get into an argument. Understandably, Ruki thinks that big chests are better. Meanwhile Kaoruko self-depreciate herself saying that chest size doesn’t matter since she won’t grow any further.
Obviously, this not surprising Ruki’s and Kaoruko’s are flat, more so for Kaoruko. This shows when Koyume touches Kaoruko’s chest. Kaoruko is flat just like Tamate. It’s not surprising since both Tamate and Kaoruko believes that it won’t grow any further. Of course, Tsubasa is also well endowed too.
Aside from that, it seems that Kaoruko doesn’t seem to like the food served by Ririko. To me, it’s surprising how she can keep on working and not take one of Koyume’s sweets. When Kaoruko woke up in the morning, she didn’t like the breakfast provided by Ririko. It consists of broccoli, tomato, natto and tofu. I have to admit that I am a picky eater since I don’t like most vegetables. With that, I probably won’t think about eating natto at all. Thankfully, Ririko made dinner that Kaoruko seems to like.
As for Kaoruko’s next proposed manuscript, I have to admit that it looks stranger than before. Crêpes are now characters of their own. Obviously, Kaoruko have her work cut out for her to create a manuscript that Amisawa will approve. Eventually, she will get there. ¶
