After deciding to quit the Martel Group, Kotarou decides to do some intense training.

From last time, after finding Kotori’s dog, Kotarou is going through his promising to quit Martel. Aside from talking to Sakura, who is part of Gaia, she wants to learn more about him. With that, Esaka decides to enroll Kotarou into special training. Before he embarks to his training, he thanks Kotori. With that, he makes a promise that he will show her around the Harvest Festa when he returns.

It’s quite obvious where he is trying to use Kotarou for. He wants to train Kotarou so he can have him work for Guardian. The superhuman training aims to help people fight against monsters, namely the ones summoned by Gaia. The funny thing is that Kotarou doesn’t use his rewrite ability. In other words, he ends up dead last on the exams along with Nagi who ends up quitting. This can explain why Kotarou look so down. Still, it appears that the grades don’t matter for Kotarou since Esaka just wanted him to get the training.

With Kotarou completing his training, it looks like Kotarou will participate in an operation against Gaia. It makes me wonder how well he will do in his first operation. We’ll see next time.
