With Inoue missing, it seems that things took a turn for the worse rather quickly for Kotarou.
Given what happened last time and Inoue being a bit too curious about the rainbow paradise, she gone missing. In short, Kotarou’s life of hanging out with his friends is coming to an abrupt end. The Occult Club activities are now suspended as a result of Inoue being reported missing.
However, Kotarou isn’t giving up that easily. He creates a search party to find Inoue with his friends. Of course, supernatural creatures appeared too, meaning that he has to defend himself. He also finds out that these creatures are also after Lucia and Shizuru. Oddly enough, they did not attack Akane and Chihaya, which caused Lucia and Shizuru to become suspicious towards them.
In short, their relationships suddenly became strained after they found out that Akane, Chihaya and Sakuya is part of Gaia. Yep, Kotarou’s hope of having a normal high school life got shattered since he didn’t heed Sakuya’s words. Now that all his friends including Kotori is missing, he looks depressed. He will surely find some way out of this next time.
Overall, I felt that this episode felt very rushed. It’s understandable this would happen since I haven’t played the visual novel. Still, the pacing decreases the impact from these mysteries since they are stuffed into one episode. It’s obvious that they might be going for the true ending, but I felt that it could have been a bit better.
