Atelier Escha and Logy – Episode 1 – The First Day of Alchemy
Back in 2012 when I regained interest in Japanese RPGs, I decided to get a copy of Atelier Totori Plus (in Japanese) and Atelier Meruru. While the Arland trilogy is more light-hearted compared to the Dusk series, I enjoyed these games mostly for the fact that it was not a traditional Japanese RPG featuring a teenaged male hero going off on an adventure to save the world, but rather one starring a young cheerful female character (with a few exceptions) that make weapons, gather items, do quests, battle monsters and make items through alchemy. While the first several games only got released in Japan, the Atelier games definitely influenced Japanese RPGs in general as many of them implemented some type of item crafting, especially weapons and equipment.
Atelier Escha and Logy is the 15th game in the series and since I played most of the game already, I was excited to see the first episode of this adaptation.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;birth2 Sister’s Generation – First Impressions
Just a few months ago, I shared my final impressions of the first Rebirth game and I thought Compile Heart and Felistelia did a great job fixing all of the flaws from the original game such as having all the goddesses join throughout the story, using battle system from Victory and having improved graphics.
Just a few weeks ago, Neptune Rebirth 2 Sister’s Generation got released, which is a remake of Mk2. This is odd considering that the second game wasn’t nearly as flawed compared to the first. Despite this, since I played 14 hours, it’s time to share my initial thoughts of the game. (Image Source)

Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai Ren – Final Review
During the fall of 2012, Kyoto Animation started to shift their focus to in-house intellectual properties rather than adapting source material. The first show in this new effort was Chuunibyou demo koi ga shitai, which focused on delusions and hints of love. While the first season had a lot of enjoyable and adorable moments, the drama towards the end felt a bit out-of-place. They notice this and decide to make the sequel have a more lighthearted feeling. Mari Okada Considers Reviving Miuna After Being Moved by TwitchPlaysPokemon
Toyko, Japan – In the recent episode of Nagi no Asukara, Miuna sacrificed herself to save Manaka, which left viewers with buckets of tears, especially those who wanted to see her with Hikari. After several days of fans morning over her, Mari Okada announced that Miuna would in fact not have to live life as a wooden maiden for longer. The main reason she changed her mind is because she was moved by the emotional journey of Red being controlled by thousands of people in a stream known as Twitch Plays Pokémon. In this adventure, the main character revives a Helix Fossil after beating all the gym leaders with some sad happenings such as a bunch of Pokémon being released and of course, political fights over democracy and anarchy. After watching the players finally beat Blue, the Pokémon League Champion, she couldn’t bare seeing the extreme sadness of the viewers again after they were heartbroken by the ending of AnoHana, so she did something that is extraordinary to give Miuna a happy ending, use the helix as a deus ex machina!
Mari wants to resolve the hardships the Sea God was facing by having Hikari and Manaka bring back the precious Helix Fossil containing the spirit of the girl the sea-god loved. While Miuna suffered for these years since she had to sacrifice herself during the 2nd Ofunehiki festival in order to save Manaka, perhaps with the revival of the Helix Fossil, the sea-god might reconsider and release her in place of the fossil. Time will tell if Miuna is allowed to return to the surface.
Still, Lord Uroko, who refers himself as a scale of a sea-god declared that April 1st will be an unofficial holiday named “National Helix Fossil Day” in honor of Miuna making her sacrifice so that no one will suffer the same fate like Manaka did initially. Of course, the sea-god reunites his love in the form of a female Omanyte. He should be proud of this decision since Shioshishio won’t have to suffer a horrible fate. The balance is finally restored between land and sea!

Wake Up Girls – 7 Idols (Movie) Review – The Rebirth of Yamakan?
Yamamoto Yutaka failed to Save Anime after a few years of being sacked from Kyoto Animation. While Fractle was an ambitious project, it failed to live up to the hype. As expected, this failure was a big blow to his ego mostly because he stated that if the show flopped, he would retire. Since then, we haven’t heard much from him until now.
In the fall of 2013, it seems that Yutaka couldn’t stand not directing any Anime, thus he unretired himself to make a new show. What type of show did he choose to make? That’s right, an idol themed one. With that, we will take a look of the prequel that premiered, Wake Up Girls, The Seven Idols prequel feature film that premiered on the same day the first episode aired. (Image Source)

Thoughts about Idols in Anime – Why do we adore them?
In the past, I have been somewhat critical towards the state of idols in Japan and Korea on various things such as the apparent lack of talent and of course these agencies taking complete control of their personal life by preventing any of their members from dating anyone. However, this doesn’t mean that I dislike idols completely for the fact that idol themed shows has shown some positive aspects that can relate to life along with the cheerful music. Here are some of my reasons why I and many people enjoy idol-themed anime and video games. (Image Source)
