I basically finished editing Episode 2 and 3 a bit early. Because of that, I may as well bring them to the public. In these episodes, I do some farm development and making the path to the mines. Believe it or not, I made a lot of progress in those five months. Believe me, the in-game time goes by very quickly (although you have a lot of time if you meet the extension requirements).
Also, I received a question on where to get this game since it’s pretty niche. Your best bet is NIS America website or Amazon. Aside from that, feel free to add me on the Playstation Network. Mine is chikorita_157, which is my Japanese PSN account (trophies list will have mostly Japanese language games). I will accept everyone who I know in the blogosphere first.
The next posting (Episode 4 and 5) for this let’s play will be made in two weeks. For now, enjoy! (Image Source)

While not much happens, the sleep over was very entertaining.

While I have talked a bit about the subtitles and dubbing debate early in my anime blogging career briefly, there is something that caught my attention regarding localization. Just this week, there has been news that Tecmo Koei won’t be having dual audio to the English version of Atelier Ayesha. As you would expect, the whole fandom blew up in rage just like that and advocating boycotts. However, there have been recent instances in Anime where licensing companies such as Sentai Filmworks excluded the Japanese Audio from Blu-rays, most notably the Persona 4 The Animation to make the release unattractive for reverse importation. Of course, that too had repercussions.
In general, localization and the whole sub vs. dub debate is a never-ending controversy for many reasons that I will explain. (Image Source)

It’s a new year and as promised, I will be doing another Let’s Play. This time, I will be doing this one on a pretty niche Japanese RPG. As the title suggest, it’s about making items and this is the third game in the Arland Trilogy.
Like last time, I will be making a post for every two episodes, which will be about an hour long. I am planning to record enough before college starts so I have enough content before Spring Break, which I plan to record the rest. As always, if you have any suggestions on improving future episodes or have any thoughts, just leave them in the comments below.
For now, enjoy the first episode. I plan on publishing the next episode next week. Please note that I’m using the Japanese audio, not the English Dub.
Note: No Punis were harmed in the making of this Let’s Play. (Image Source)

Finally, Riki finds the truth behind Mio’s suffering and her desire of wanting to disappear.

I’m a year late to the party, but I’m not going to miss out on this for any longer.
And yes, I was on vacation during the past two days. This can explain the inactivity because wireless Internet wasn’t free. Since I am back, its time to catch up.

Based on its cover, this show is about sweets, a mochi shop and a plump white talking bird.

Besides blogging about anime, I am a big gamer as I played video games since my childhood. In the past, I was a big Nintendo fan and I’m still am. However, when I started learning Japanese since 2011, I find that playing Japanese Games can be a good way to practice what you learn while discovering new vocabulary and Kanji. Of course, the Playstation Vita made that all possible when I got one on my birthday. Since I have played with it for almost five months, I want to share my experiences. (Image Source)

I bet most people were expecting a second season of Idolmaster. Instead, we got this… (Image Source)

Since I got so many games for Christmas and played with them for so many hours that I totally forgot to write a Winter Preview. So, it wouldn’t hurt to share what I plan to watch a few days late.
As always, I start with a few shows before tacking on additional ones.

In the past, I have written some initial impressions or full reviews of video games from Japan. Of course, most of what I covered is ones related to Anime such as the Idolmaster games and Pokémon. Now I’m going to do something slightly different and share my thoughts about a pretty obscure game called Atelier Meruru. (Image Source)

As we finally leave 2012 behind, its time to set some new goals for the New Year. (Image Source)

As 2012 comes to an end, I would like to reflect on what happened in 2012 related to Anime Blogging and other stuff since it was a pretty eventful year. (Image Source)

As 2012 finally comes to an end, I felt that this year is rather subdued for Anime. Although there were some Anime that received some rave reviews that I didn’t watch, I was still satisfied by what I have already watched. Not only that, I only dropped one show this year compared to two in 2011. Still, there were some disappointments, which I want to go over.
For now, I will list my top whatever lists of best Anime in 2012 along with some disappointing/worst ones. (Image Source)

Back in 2010, Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai light novel was given an honorable mention in a Kyoto Animation award competition. Obviously, this means that they will eventually make an anime based off this work. (Image Source)

This episode was so painful that I had to watch the rest of it at 1.5x speed.

For those who celebrate, I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays [1. Take that Fox News who thinks that there is a so-called “War on Christmas“]. Be sure to check out my last 12 Days of Anime post. There is no Secret Santa review this year since I didn’t have the time to do it this year.
Just as a note, I won’t be blogging tomorrow like I done in previous years. I will resume on Wednesday the earliest. For now so along and Happy Birthday to Nagisa and Yukiho, whose birthday lies on Christmas. (Image Source)
Since I lacked any motivation yesterday because hardly anyone commented or read my last 12 days post, I decided to merge Day 11 and 12 into one post. For that, I’m putting a spotlight on two shows in this final 12 days of Anime, Papa Kikinasai and Chuunibyou. (Image Source)
