Green Bracket Blog Critiquing – Part 2 & 3 out of 4
From the feedback I have received, I will not give blogs a grade nor focus too much on grammatical or spelling errors. Instead, I will place all my attention on the overall content and design. If the content sounds rough or awkward overall, I will indicate it in my suggestion that he/she should work more on their writing. Even with the changes I made, I will not tell anyone who I voted for.
Since I fell behind yesterday, I decided to combine parts 2 and 3 together. If you are the author of these blogs, please take the criticism with a grain of salt.

Chikorita Cast – Episode 1 – Aniblogosphere Tourney Recap
Well, this marks the first episode of my new podcast, which will focus on various topics regarding to Anime and the fandom. For now, it will work on an infrequent basis since it takes time to edit and record (future episodes will be audio only). If anyone is interested in joining for one of the episodes, I’ll be happy to do so. Just contact me.
In this episode, I will talk about my results from the Anime Blog Tourney while I record myself through the camera. Of course, the results surprised many, including myself, but not a big deal.
Since most people mistaken me as a male tsundere, I decided to introduce myself a bit more. I explain my background and such. So, I hope you enjoy and feel free to talk about it! Also, I wish good luck to the other participants in the tourney. I should have the other critiques for the Green Bracket by the end of this week.
Excuse my coarse voice… I just came home. (Image Source)

Green Bracket Blog Critiquing – Part 1 out of 4
As promised, I will critique people’s blogs so people can improve their blogs for the future, regardless if they win or not. As stated in my list of criteria in the inaugural post, I’m basing my grading on that. For blog owners, I will write a few suggestions and my overall impressions. They will get published after all the blogs in the bracket had their polls opened.
For the first one, I will give criticism to the first quarter of the Green Bracket. If you are the author of these blogs, please take it with a grain of salt as these are my opinions and they aren’t meant to offend you.

In Response to the Mudslinging by Draggle
Notice: I never intended to make this serious and I might have took it the wrong way. Of course, the tournament is meant to give more blogs exposure and get constructive criticism. So no offense is intended on both sides and this is just a joke.
With that over, the constructive criticism for all the blogs I have checked out will get posted on Wednesday at 4 PM EDT. So enjoy the e-drama for now.
Yeah, I definitely saw the post you made and I’m very disappointed in you. It’s one thing to become competitive. However ruining my reputation is one of the things I will not allow you to do. Don’t pretend I didn’t notice because I have trackbacks coming in for my posts and I’m watching your updates on twitter!
In the end, I predict that I will have a comeback because cheating is bad and I believe in Karma… Don’t be like the Republican candidates and play fair.
If you against this mudslinging, vote for the deserving underdog in the Aniblog Tourney!
Papa Kiki, Clannad and Family – A Worthwhile Commitment
After watching 8 episodes of Papa no Iukoto o Kikinasai, there was something that really got me thinking. Although many dissed the show as something perverted, the drama in the 8 episodes I watched proved that raising a family is a difficult task and reminding me of Clannad, which had similar themes. Despite the difficulties the fathers faced in both shows, they continued because its worthwhile experience. (Image Source)

Support Us in the 2nd AniBlog Tourney!
いらっしゃませ!(Welcome to my blog!)
During the first Aniblog Tourney, I experienced a close loss in the first round. Since then, I have learned from my mistakes by improving my content and interacted with more people. Now, the second Aniblog Tourney is about to begin and we are up against Draggle’s Anime Blog.
As most say, quality is always better than quantity. With that, I have been working hard on writing more posts outside the realm of episodic posts. So, check out my opinion pieces that I have handpicked (you can see more in the Editorials category) and feel free to comment on them if you have any thoughts before you vote… (unhide the spoiler to see the recommended posts)
In addition to editorials, I have also focused on other features such as:
- Homura-chan’s Pokemon Adventure – Although I have never finished the final part, I shared my experiences while playing Pokémon White.
- Idolm@ster 2 Let’s Play – Video “Let’s Play” of everyone’s favorite idol producing game.
- Japanese Self-Study Progress – Various thoughts I made during my Japanese Self Study.
This is pretty much it. Feel free to browse around for my other content (episodic and review posts) and most importantly, don’t forget to vote for the deserving candidate in the Aniblog Tourney! Polls will open today until Wednesday at 4 PM Eastern Daylight Time (20:00 GMT)! May the best blog win!
(Update 1:also, ignore the nonsense that Draggle is spreading about me… he is just having some fun. :p)
(Update 2: Cheating is bad, so please vote for integrity and content quality, not the libel he wrote about me.)
(Update 3: We playing around, so don’t take any of our mischief seriously)
(Note: This post will remain stickied until the poll’s closure.)

Little Busters and JC Staff: The Changes of Time
Just recently, Key announced that JC Staff would produce the Little Busters anime. Unfortunately, this was not well received by the fans. It stirred a lot of harsh criticism since they expect Kyoto Animation to make it. From what I have seen, this makes me wonder if the rage is justifiable or the fans are too entitled?
In the past two days, I read three opinion pieces regarding the whole matter. Therefore, I felt the need to share my own thoughts on why their decision isn’t as bad or rather, marks a transition to the New Key. (Image Source)

What Makes a “Good” Anime?
In a perfect world, most fans would enjoy all the anime that gets produced. Sadly, this isn’t the case since we do not know what the show will give us until we watch it. This leaves us with the usual remark, “It gets better, I swear” which is frequently used as a defense. I’m a firm believer of that because any show can have a potential of becoming good. This leaves us with the question, what exactly makes a good anime? I will explain just that along with my experiences.

Let’s Check Out – Natsuiro Kiseki – Episode 1
If you read some of my contributions on Anime Instrumentality Blog, it’s a known fact that I am a fan of Sphere because the girls can sing great (with Toyosaki Aki being an exception). Now, they are creating an original anime called Natsuiro Kiseki, which means Summer Color Miracle in Japanese. Since it combine one of my favorite group of singers with one of the best animation studios, Sunrise who recently produced Daily Lives Of High School Boys, what could go wrong?

Tantei Opera Milky Holmes Second Season – Final Review
Ever since the airing of Tantei Opera Milky Holmes in the fall of 2010, I never expected it to become the most entertaining comedies of the season. When a sequel got announced last year, I naturally got excited since I wanted to see more hysterical moments between Milky Holmes, the Genius 4 and Gentleman Thieves. As you expect, it’s the same show that we come to love, but taken to the next level. (Image Source)
