After Maria and Mana helped each other in that special moment, the band heads to their next destination. Yes, in Orussia as Moffy starts acting strangely on its arrival. Can Ginny get her back to health before their performance?
While heading to their next destination, Moffy receives a strange signal. Before that happened, Milasha had an autographed photo of Marseille. Surprisingly, Inori recognized who she was. Of course, the cameos keep coming as we finally see Sanya’s long-lost parents. Their daughter is, of course, part of Strike Witches. More on that later.
After hearing something from other witches around the area, thanks to Moffy, Ginny and her friends want to say something. Sadly, Moffy can only receive it, but thankfully Grace contacted Alexandra Serbanescu, part of the 503rd squadron. As expected, she mentions communication disturbances around the area. Unfortunately, when Ginny wanted to talk to them, Moffy detached from her and started to feel sick.
Once they arrived at the destination, they got lost easily in the forest. However, Ginny, Milasha, and Inori saw a black cat interested in Moffy. When it ran away, they followed it. It led them to a house owned by a lady named Anna.
Anna apparently knows how to check up on familiars using a special circle. There is a sign that Anna is Sanya’s parents as she holds the knowledge of witches thanks to her grandmother. She also mentions evacuating from Moscow and marks the date of the 18th as a special date.
Also, Volodya, Anna’s husband, apparently saved a piano key. He revealed that he was a pianist and unable to save a photo of his daughter from a fire. This is evident because he mentions having a daughter who is also a witch fighting on the front lines. Of course, his unkempt hair and beard make him appear much older than he really is. They also mention that the date is his daughter’s birthday.
Eventually, the girls returned, and Grace announced they were also doing a radio concert. If you can’t tell, the workers are busy building the town up. Grace thought it’s a good idea to do that instead, which will happen at 5 AM. So, we are talking about the same time I need to wake up to take the train to the office.
This allows Ginny, Inori, and Milasha to convince Anna and Volodya to play the piano so their daughter might become able to hear it. Thankfully, they managed to do that. It’s surprising how different of a person Volodya is when he finally groomed himself and removed that beard. Also, it’s amazing how the girls wear their idol attire when they only perform on the radio. However, I think this is good given what happens next.
Sadly, the power went out thanks to the disturbances caused by the Neuroi. That is while Ginny hears something strange as the 503rd squadron is on patrol and sees a Neuroi heading towards them. By combining the powers of her teammates, Ginny could get to them before the Neuroi, and the 503rd squadron eliminated the threat. I guess this shows that Ginny can send things, but she probably needs the power of everyone else.
Of course, we learn more about the familiar Anna keeps after Ellie talks to them. This familiar is what ultimately allowed Sanya to hear her father’s piano playing. We learn that Sanya’s familiar had a twin. Maybe from this twin, Sanya will someday find her parents’ whereabouts.
Thanks to the twin familiar, we find out that the song reached Sanya. Yes, we also see Yoshika and Eila. While I haven’t watched Strike Switches yet, this episode takes place around the 6th episode of Strike Witches. That means this spinoff is in the same timeline, but this should be obvious already. Either way, I think this is a nice way to end the episode, and Luminous Witches deserve a nice rest after helping to save the town from disaster.
