Cue! – Episode 23 – Rie Brings Out the Chuunibyou Self

June 18, 2022 by Chikorita157 1 Comment
After performing a live performances, Rie is back to spacing out.

Now that the big live for Misaki’s new idol project went without a hitch, there is one more thing. Of course, Rie seems to act a bit funny for some reason.

It seems that Rie, Mei, Rinne, and Satori are not themselves after performing their first live performance. Not too surprising since Rie runs into a pole, and Rinne notices that Mei and Satori are not herself. Believe it or not, the same happens after they finish recording the last episode of Bloom Ball. Not to mention, Rie’s first outfit suits her better.

Thing are about to get busier at AiRBLUE.

Yes, people are wondering, has Misaki forgotten that she manages voice actresses, not idols? As we know, it’s not just an idol project, but an anime one too. Chuunx4 is the first to receive this treatment. This can explain why Rie and her friends saw them run out of the office.

Rie and her friends becomes worried that they might become industrial waste again.

Of course, this gives Rie’s group the thought of what will happen after the recording. Yes, there is the potential of becoming industrial waste again with no voice-acting jobs. Not only that, but Satori is also not interested in doing live reading again as they are voice actresses now. I don’t think they need to worry too much since they already have debut roles in a popular anime title. Therefore, the roles will eventually come in.

For the last recording, the girls receive a special training session.

Later, the Haruna’s and Rie’s team receives their scripts for the last episode. As expected, Kirika gives them a special lesson. She mentions that the girls should give their best possible performance. After all, she said that this might be their last time to voice act with these characters. Unfortunately, only a handful of shows each season receive a sequel. I must admit, this hits home as there are a good number of shows I would like to see another season, but that day never comes. We get it. Producing anime is expensive, but there is always the hope it will happen someday.

Rie finally taps her inner Chuunibyou.

As for the recording, Rie messed up in the first half. It seems the pressure is on her after remembering what Kirika said. She talks things over with Mei, Satori, and Rinne and decides to give her best performance that is true to herself. Believe it or not, it works out as Rie taps into her inner Chuunibyou for Suzuka. It seems that everyone becomes impressed by her performance.

Rie needs to take the honors.
After all, she deserves it.

The girls eventually reflect on how much they grew thanks to their roles. With that, the recording is finally complete. It’s cute how Koto and the voice actress for the main character push Rie to the center. After all, she deserves it with the performance she gave in the last episode.

Even with Rie’s usual outfit, she manages to walk into a street pole.
