Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Second Season – Episode 3 – The Birth of QU4RTZ

April 16, 2022 by Chikorita157 3 Comments
Yep, Kanata just wants to sleep and take it easy.

To get Lanzhu to change her mind, Kasumi, Kanata, Emma, and Rina decides to do a performance together as a group. However, it’s harder than it seems.

As everyone in the School Idol Club prepare for the joint performance, it’s obvious that Emma wants to change Lanzhu’s mind. With that, Kasumi, Kanata, and Rina decide to do a performance together to get to her.

Yep, she kind of meant this.

Of course, they are having trouble figuring out what outfit to wear and what do so as a stage performance. I find it funny how Kanata just wants to sleep on stage. i don’t think that will send a good message in convincing Lanzhu. They decide to have a training camp to decide what to do.

The outfits are cute, but a bit too much.
Kasumi has an amusing expression in this photo.

Also, at Kasumi’s place, they try out various outfits. Sure, they are adorable, but Rina, Kanata, and Emma thought it’s too much and a bit embarrassing. It’s obvious that Kasumi is trying too hard to make her friends look cuter. OF course, Emma peaked into Kasumi’s album and saw her childhood image that Kasumi doesn’t find cute. This photo cannot be unseen given how silly her expression was.

Yuu asks Mia for advice.

Meanwhile, Yuu is having difficulty with her final assignment of composing a song and play it in front of the class. Yuu runs into Mia for advice. Of course, Mia already finished her assignment a long time ago. She will only give her the advice of create a melody that people want to hear.

Sure, Yuu feels that none of the melodies she has in mind satisfy her, but it’s the person who decides what they want to hear. Of course, Mia calls Yuu a baby. I must admit, these new transfer students are really mean if you take being called a baby an insult.

Eventually, the members in the School Idol Club eventually notices that Yuu feels down and Yull told them the difficulties she faces. Ayumu suggests that Yuu should do what she wants to do. Sure, Yuu says that she doesn’t have many special traits, Kasumi and Kanata doesn’t think that is true. Either way, Yuu manages to get her motivation back.

Kasumi feels really stumped.

Meanwhile, it seems that Kasumi, Kanata, Emma, and Rina are struggling with the other aspects such as what to do with their performance and stage design. I find it funny how Kanata suggests a pillow theme. She can’t stop thinking about sleep, but at least they had a good dinner. A day later at Rina’s place, they play a game to sync their thoughts together. Of course, they gave different answers, making obvious they don’t have many things in common.

Somehow, QU4RTZ pulls through.

As expected, Kasumi is becoming increasingly frustrated that no progress is being made. I guess she fears that they need to impress the fans besides Lanzhu. They even considered doing solo. Thankfully, after resolving Yuu’s worries, they realize that they have to not just think about themselves, but the other members as well. In the end, it seems that the training camp that they learned more about each other. After all, they are performing as a unit, not by themselves.

From the looks of Lanzhu’s face, she still not fully impressed or convinced.

In the end, it seems that QU4RTZ performance amazed the audience, but not Lanzhu., although she finally admits that she can’t replicate that kind of performance. Not too surprising since she is doing solo. It’s only a matter of time, I guess.

Cool seeing how QU4RTZ came together.

Very curious to find out what it is Lianzhu really wants to accomplish and why Shioriko hesitated when asked about school idols.

Yu’s harem is excellent. Nice to see her personal progress.

Pumped for Diver Diva next time.

I guess she really has high expectations. Still, I am curious about the reason why too.
