Cue! – Episode 14 – The Suspicious Email

April 16, 2022 by Chikorita157 1 Comment
Disappointment settles in as they didn’t get the role.

While Rie’s team finally made the break, sadly the same can be said about Riko, Mahoro, Aya, and Miharu. That is until they receive a very sus email. Of course, it’s obvious what Riko and Miharu does, which is a bit risky and possibly dangerous.

At last, we find out who made the cut. Sadly, Riko, Mahoro, Aya, and Miharu seems disappointed that they didn’t make the cut. After all, it’s not too surprising given how competitive voice acting is. Still, it’s surprising that they recovered from the failure rather quickly.

Is it suspicious that an American decides to contact a group of Japanese voice actresses?

Of course, it appears that someone is listening from abroad that is probably explains the broken Japanese. Still, I wonder how he could understand what the girls are saying? I guess he trying to learn the language or using AI to turn it to text and translate it to English. Still the email seems very sus that Rio tell them to hold off until she receives a formal offer.

These emails are very sus given the broken Japanese used.

As expected, Riko doesn’t seem to want to wait as she wants to go directly to them. After all, the person that wrote the email are a big fan of the show. It’s obvious that Aya and Mahoro is very suspicious of the email that they would rather wait. Of course, given how much a go-getter Riko is, she doesn’t want to wait. Not only that, Miharu wants in on the action too since it sounds interesting. Still, it sounds very suspicious as it could be a scam or something worse.

Miharu joins Riko in finding the place from the email.

Eventually, Riko and Miharu went to many omelet rice restaurants in the area looking for clues.  The only clue they got from the email are the type of restaurants and two towers that appear as one from the emails. It’s funny to see them go on a goose chase trying to find the right restaurant and asking locals around the area, they eventually had lunch.

Yep, Riko failed to check the fuel level on her bike.

Thankfully, they met a lady at one of the restaurants that point them to the right area. Of course, Riko forgot to fill the gas on her bike and her tank was empty. She had to push the bike up the hill when they found a restaurant and a tower building that appears to meet the description.

It’s obvious that Aya and Mahoro is worried about Riko and Miharu.

The funny thing is that Aya and Mahoro is at the restaurant. I guess they can’t resist the temptation since Riko and Miharu was looking for it. I have a good feeling that they are worried about them that they decided to find this location.

Yep, a foreign company wants Riko, Mahoro, Aya, and Miharu work on a VTuber project.

Eventually, they decided to go into the building after seeing a message at the entrance. As expected, despite the building being run down, it seems high tech as it showed arrows for the girls to head to. Eventually, they head to a room with a big screen showing 3d characters in a space. Of course, the girls became amazed by how the characters move on school. Even so, I feel that the characters look a bit crude and unpolished.

Eventually, the person led them there talked to them in broken Japanese. Apparently, the person enjoyed the podcast Riko, Mahoro, Aya, and Miharu made that he wants the girls use his company’s technology to create a real time animation system. I guess his company wants to get on the VTuber trend or create an anime using this new technology.

It’s hilarious how Yuuki, Chisa, Airi, and Yuzuha becomes worried that Project Vogel might get cancelled. I don’t think that Misaki is that cruel.

Overall, how this played out is a bit silly and risky, but at least it worked out in the end. Of course, it seems that Vogel has a big announcement given the countdown. I find it funny how Yuuki, Chisa, Airi, and Yuzuha becomes worried that their idol unit is possibly ending. Then again, it’s probably something big that Misaki is keeping as a surprise. We’ll find out soon enough.
