It seems that the day that Makoto fears the most is finally here. Yes, Sayaka decides to teach some survival skills if they happen to fall in the ocean.
It’s obvious that this day is coming. With rainy season almost coming to an end, Sayaka want to train the girls how to survive if they fall in the ocean. Yes, Hina, Natsumi, Yuuki and Makoto had to wear their tracksuit to simulate what might happen in real life.
Believe it or not, we finally see Sayaka in a swimsuit. Yes, she is apparently a lifeguard, which can explain why she knows so much. Also, this is the one instance where her eyes are wide open. It’s obvious that she is excited to teach them these skills. After all, if you know how to float in the water instead of panicking, your chances of survival increases.
Of course, this doesn’t help Makoto as Yuuki tries to put her in the water. Of course, Natsumi and Hina manages to do float in the water. While Yuuki gives Makoto a floating device, she eventually crushes it in fear. I can’t blame her after she experienced post-traumatic stress when she fell into the ocean while she was a child and almost drowned.
Thankfully, Sakaya has a device that can help Makoto. Yes, it’s an inflatable floating device that activates when the person is in water. It inflates using a carbon dioxide air tank. When Makoto give it a try, she jumped not Sayaka gleefully.
Either way, it seems that Makoto feel released as Sakaya floats in the water face down. The funny thing is that Yuuki, Hina and Makoto did the same thing. Yes, they didn’t realize that they only have one extra air tank. In other words, they have to use their club funds to replenish them. Thankfully, they have enough funds to replace them. I guess curiosity killed the cat.
After the training, Hina and Natsumi is happy that they can fish again. While Hina managed to catch some scorpy, they are too small. When Hina is about to release it, a heron ate it. Yes, this reminds me that Maryland has a lot of these herons, especially on the east shore. They used to have this bird that Hina hates on the Chesapeake Bay license plate. That is until they redesigned it in 2018 and replaced it with a crab.
Aside from that, it’s obvious that Hina doesn’t like herons given how scary their eyes are. Not only that, they keep eating her catch. However, she noticed that there is a fishing line tied around one of the legs and their toes are missing on one foot. After researching about herons, she finds out that they become injured due to humans being jerks and not taking their fishing lines. Hina knew that she has to do something.
With that, Hina decides to do an operation to catch the heron and remove the fishing line. While Hina pretend to fish, the others hid on a tarp before the heron notices the fish. They managed to catch it and remove the fishing line. The next day, it seems that the heron is waiting for Hina to catch its next meal. I guess the heron will now make Hina’s life tougher.
Poor Makoto and her fear. She looked precious after getting the new lifesaver though.
A mostly disappointing pool segment. At least Miss Sayaka got to grace our screens with her hotness.
Hina got a new amusing nemesis.
Yes, Makoto is precious when she have the life jacket. But still, I guess Sayaka got the punishment from getting drunk a few episodes ago and eating all the food.
Still, I won’t be surprised if that bird will show up again in one of the remaining episodes.
