Houkago Teibou Nisshi – Episode 7 – Rock Fishing and the Study Session Date

August 18, 2020 by Chikorita157 2 Comments
With a lot of free time, Natsumi and Hina doesn’t know what to do.

Now that Hina found a special hook, she decides to go fishing for rockfish. Also, she didn’t realize that the midterms are already here.

At last, it’s summertime almost and the girls finally changed into their summer uniforms. Sadly, with the extended break, they have nothing to do. Of course, they decide to go rock fishing, which is a lot riskier. With rock fishing, you use a special hook that Hina has, a burakuri rig. As expected, rock fishing is risky as if you move too quickly, one will lose their rig. That seems a bit risky, but with risk comes excitement.

Obviously, fishing on rocks is out of the question for Hina.
Natsumi at it again, tormenting Hina again.

As expected, it seems that Natsumi loves scaring Hina once again. Yes, this includes the mention of using actual live worms as bait for burakuri fishing. Not only that, she also mentioned that the best spots require climbing on dangerous rocks. Of course, we know Hina doesn’t have the athletic aptitude to do this.

As expected, Hina found a nice catch.
Hina struggling to unhook the fish.

Despite Hina having initial troubles at first, it seems that she found a narrow spot that Makoto points out. Thankfully, Hina manages to get it, but doesn’t know how to unhook the scorpy. Natsumi ends up tormenting poor Hina trying to get her to unhook the fish from the mouth. Thankfully, Hina did, but she becomes anxious over holding it. Thankfully, she manages to put it in the cooler.

Makoto putting a life jacket on Hina.

It’s interesting that Makoto finally reveals why she always wear a life jacket. Yes, she puts on a life jacket when Hina went burakuri fishing. While it’s subtle, it almost looked like Hina almost fell in, but not quite. Believe it or not, Makoto had a horrifying experience during her childhood and fell into the ocean.

With this horrifying moment, there is no wonder Makoto is scared of the water.

Thankfully, her father saved her, but with that experience, she always wears a life jacket. I guess Yuki revealing that Makoto can’t swim isn’t too surprising. I guess the trauma was too much for her that she is afraid of the water.

Is this Natsumi? Yes it is.
Nasumi’s mother happy to see Hina again.

In the second half, it seems that rainy season is finally here. Not only that, Hina forgot to study for those midterms. Thankfully, Natsumi is willing to study with her. There is not too much to say about this segment except that Natsumi looks different outside of school. Yes, she decides to wear glasses and look like a different person.

Now, this look more like a date.
As expected, this is probably the cutest moment with Hina and Natsumi.

I admit that she kind of looks good with glasses on. Also, Natsumi’s mother is excited to see Hina again. Even so, it’s cute that Natsumi wants Hina to make a plushie version of a flatfish. It’s obvious that Natsumi has a thing for Hina, besides tormenting her for fun.

Yes, Makoto is great, especially since she finds rock fishing exciting. But I can see why she is afraid of falling into the ocean since you can get caught up with the moment of rock fishing.

But yes, Hina and Natsumi is a good pairing. Also, seeing her wear glasses is cute.
