Now that Yomi and Tama had their first win, it’s time to focus on the summer tournament. Of course, only Yoshino, Ms. Fuji and Tama went to the ceremony. I wonder, what will their placement will be?
As expected, it seems that while the rest of the team focuses on practicing, only Yoshino, Tama and Ms. Fuji went to the tournaments bracket announcement ceremony. Sure, Yoshino really wanted to examine the players from other schools, but she obviously has to resist the urge.
Still, I find it hilarious how when the person called up Shin Koshigaya High School, people gasped since it’s the sandaled ridden school. Sure, schools think that they will be easy pickings since the team is consisted of 1st years. That can explain why they didn’t invite the whole team. Thankfully, Oono is there to warn everyone not to underestimate them. After all, they managed to score three points.
In the end, Shin Koshigaya High School placed in Group C. Apparently, their first opponent is with Kagemori High School. Sadly, there is nothing Yoshino can find information on them. Even if they managed to beat them, they have to face off Ryoyukan. Yes, it has one player that was on a team that made it to nationals. Still, Yomi and her friends have to beat their first rival.
I find it funny how Yoshino takes Ibuki to spy on Kagemori High School’s practice session. Apparently, they find out how to beat their first opponent in the bracket first. Still, I find it funny how Nakayama, their pitcher noticed something was up when Yoshino and Ibuki spied on them. Yes, she gave a scary stare. Thankfully, she didn’t go and chase them. But at least they know that she uses a submarine pitch along with their playstyle. Nothing too special as the girls continue to prepare.
At last, Tama along with Ms Fuji hands out the official uniforms. The surprising thing is that Yoshino receives one. It seems that while she won’t play in the games, the team wants her as their coach. Either way, it seems that they are happy.
Of course, this motivates Yoshino to play catch with Yomi as she looks back the three months of playing baseball with her team. We find out that Yoshino and Ibuki used to play with the members of Shin Koshigaya High School baseball team during their childhood. Now, she wants to see her favorite team win. Will her and Ibuki’s dream become a reality? We’ll see.
