Azur Lane – Episode 2 – Sakura’s and Ironblood’s Second Surprise Attack

October 10, 2019 by chikorita157 3 Comments

It looks like the Union’s ship girl fleet suffered significant damage.

Last time, the Union and Royal Naval ship girls suffered some damage from Akagi’s and Kaga’s surprise attack. However, it seems that the Sakura and Ironblood have another surprise attack up their sleeves.

As expected, Sakura’s Empire surprise attack caused some damage to Azur Lane’s fleet. However, we do learn what the thing Kaga stolen. It’s apparently a Mental Cube, which humans use to create ship girls. I wonder what is their motives with stealing it. We have to find out their motives sooner than later.

Laffey exhausted from a hard fight.
It seems that Enterprise turned down their offer for food.

While the Royal Naval forces haven’t arrived yet, the workers repair the ships. Whales and Illustrious sees the aftermath of the surprise attack. Still, Enterprise is willing to keep going despite still having damage. It appears that Enterprise is not resting during critical repairs. When Laffey and Javelin offered her food, she refuses it. It seems that Enterprise dedicates her existence to defeat the sirens. In comparison, when enemies attack Laffey’s friends, she becomes motivated to fight and defend them. Otherwise, she doesn’t seem to want to fight.

Laffey undoes one of Javelin’s strap. Now she is super embarassed.

Of course, there is a nice moment with Javelin and Laffey after they arrived on the dock. Laffey passes out completely from exhaustion as Javelin carries her. She is happy that Unicorn made it out. Eventually, Laffey grabbed on one of one of Javelin’s strap, thus she became partially undressed. It seems that Laffey is too tired and hungry that she couldn’t resist the urge to do it.

As you expect, more nice moments with Akagi and Kaga.
Prinz Eugen crashing their party.

Meanwhile, we see more intimate moments as Kaga treats Akagi’s wounds. Yes, she had a massive injury from Enterprise’s attack from last time. Either way, it’s a nice moment as Prinz Eugen from the Ironblood ruins their moment. Not only that, she eats one of dango, which annoys Akagi. It appears that they are planning a surprise attack again and Z23 and Ayanami will participate.

While the Union ship girls, Northampton, Hammann, Helena, Arizona, Long Island, and Hornet is on patrol, they are ambushed. Sakura 5th Carrier division, Shoukaku and Zuikaku arrives as they launch their attack on them.

Oh no! Enterprise reaches her limit as her equipment falls apart.

Of course, this is a trap to lure Enterprise and defeat her at her most vulnerable. While Cleveland, Javelin, and Laffey came along to help her, the Union is at a disadvantage.  Still, I find it funny how Laffey doesn’t seem to want to fight while Z23 wants to. At least it caused a diversion as Enterprise launched her attack.  Also, it seems that Ayanami doesn’t want to fight either.

Thankfully, a certain ship girl protected her on time.

Sure, Enterprise almost defeats Zuikaku at her distressed state. However, she reaches her limit after her bow and arrow and landing strip breaks. When Zuikaku had the opportunity to finish her off, a ship girl dressed as a maid protects Enterprise. I wonder who she is and how the battle will end. We’ll find out next time. ¶

Akagi X Kaga once again deliver.

I underestimated Javelin and Laffey’s “weapons” shall we say.

So excited for more Prinz Eugen!

Don’t remember the name of the maid boat who came to help Enterprise but she’s another hype boat. Most of the big boats are hype worthy actually.

Yes, agreed. Still, I’m curious about the maid boat that help protect Enterprise. We’ll find out soon enough.
