Bang Dream! Second Season – Episode 3 – Asahi’s Band Searching Struggles

January 17, 2019 by Chikorita157 3 Comments

Kasumi and her friends felt down from what happened last night.

After Poppin’ Party performed, Yukina told Kasumi that she is not anywhere close to doing a self-sponsored event. From that, Kasumi and her friends felt down and eventually everyone starts to notice.

From last time, Poppin Party seem to realize that they are far away from doing a self-sponsored event than they realized. It looks like Yukina’s made a remark hit home hard. Despite Roselia and Poppin’ Party passing the audition to perform at the Space Live House, their talents are worlds apart. This is obvious since it took Kasumi three times to pass the audition. Rinko and Sayo noticed that Arisa seems down. Thankfully, Arisa reassures her that it’s not the case and that Yukina is a strong person and that Poppin’ Party was naïve.

Opps! It seems that Asahi needs to work more on her stealth.

Aside from that, the focus is mostly on Asahi. From last night after seeing Poppin Party performed, she wants to form a band. She asks two girls in her school who play in a band, but apparently, they need a drummer. Given how shy Asahi is, it’s going to become a challenge for her. On her way home, she follows Kasumi stealthily. I find it funny how Kasumi eventually catches her and hugs her. She apparently knows that Kasumi and her members feel down. She soon realizes that it’s time for her to work.

Kasumi’s room where she currently lives in.

At last, we finally learn more about Asahi. Apparently, she works at a bathhouse in exchange for a place to live.  She eventually come over to where Kasumi practices with her friends. It’s interesting to learn how she came to the Space live house’s last performance and discovered Poppin Party. This not only can explain why she is a big fan of theirs, but also her decision to attend school in the same city. Apparently, she wants to be part of a girl band there and play music alongside with Poppin’ Party.

Poppin’ Party performs a song for Asahi.
Asahi started crying after the performance ended after she remembered some memories during their performance.

It’s quite funny how the band Asahi looks up to managed to help her save the day. As you know already, she also works at Galaxy since she wanted to help out and there was only one person there. After Kasumi and her friends performed for her, Asahi started crying. Kasumi wonders if she is okay.  Hopefully, Asahi will find a band to be a part of. Either way, the members of Poppin’ Party knows that they can’t compete with Roselia and they shouldn’t. In other words, they are still going to do a self-sponsored event.

CHU2 asking Yukina to be her producer. Obviously, we know the answer already.

Meanwhile, a mysterious girl who goes by the name of CHU2 appears. After the end of Roselia’s self-sponsored event, she asks Yukina if she can be their producer. It seems that CHU2 asked her several times. Obviously, Yukina wants to become the top band with the music they create. In short, she believes that Roselia does not need a producer to achieve that goal. It’s not too surprising to see that answer from her given the response she gave to Kasumi.

In short, CHU2 becomes frustrated and takes her anger out on a trash can. I wonder what the trash can did to deserve this? Either way, she is not happy and she now wants to destroy her band. I wonder how she is going to do that? You guessed it! She will form a band of her own. Maybe, this is Asahi’s chance that she is waiting for. We have to wait and see.

I’m so glad to see that you are covering this blog, given how few people seem to be covering Bandori S2 in the blogosphere this season.

Thanks. Its surprising given how popular the franchise is… Then again, it’s probably due to how subdued the winter anime season is.
