Now that Satou discovered a boy that she doesn’t like, does she go through with the attack?
From last time, Satou was about to murder a boy that looks like Shio with a crowbar. At the last-minute, she decides not to kill him. Meanwhile at the appartment, Shio becomes lonely and start having flashbacks of bad memories. With that, she decides to leave the apartment to search for Satou. Her search was unsuccessful and she injures one of her foot. She eventually finds Taiyou and does a special ritual that involves head patting. Taiyou believes that Shio touching him will purify his traumatic experience of being raped by a female manager from his former job.
Meanwhile, Satou comes to terms with her feelings believing its just jealousy. This cheers her up as she heads to her apartment. When she got there, she finds out that Shio is missing and tries to go out and find her. Meanwhile, Taiyou mentions to Shio that he knows Satou and promises to bring her back to her. A bunch of gang members comes out and beats up Taiyou in retaliation. The sight of blood causes Shio to remind her of the bad memories as she cries for help.
One would expect Satou would kill that boy, which his name is Asahi. I think it’s because he has some kind of connection to Shio. Moreover, it would attract too much attention. What if the manager or Taiyou walked in and saw that Satou killed Asahi. Her Happy Sugar Life would end as she would be suspected of murder or an insane person. That wouldn’t be good. Thankfully she took control of her feelings before things got worse.
As for that boy that looks like Shio, his name is apparently Asahi and is definitely related to Shio. In a dark flashback, Asahi apparently stay behind while his mother took Shio and escaped. As you would expect, his father most likely physically abused him. This can probably explain why Asahi distrusts adults.
From this, this can explain why Shio have bad memories and don’t remember her mother’s face or even her name. However, she hallucinated thinking her mother is here and interacts with her. While we don’t know why, this can be related to the PTSD that Asahi experience with all the violence. Given that the blood from two thugs beating up Taiyou reminds Shio of the bad memories she had, this is certainly plausible.
Lastly, it’s obvious that one can view Taiyou’s obsession of Shio as being well, creepy. Since he is a victim of rape, this can explain why he have severe psychological effects from his trauma. To me, there got to be a better way to cope with this than becoming a lolicon. Hopefully, Satou won’t find out about it or otherwise, he is in big trouble.
Either way, with Shio in danger, it makes me wonder what will happen next. Will Satou manage to find Shio before it’s too late? We have to wait until next time to find out. ¶
