At last, the show with endless beach episodes is finally here as Haruka finally arrives at Okinawa.
Oozora Haruka moves in with her cousin after her parents went on a business trip. Her cousin is Kanata, who currently lives with her grandmother. After Higa Kanata meets Haruka at the airport, she brings her to her home, which is by the beach. Haruka’s tall stature manages to cause people to look at her.
After Haruka went out of the cab and saw the ocean, she decides to take her clothes off to reveals her swimsuit and plays on the beach. Eventually runs into Tooi Narumi and Tachibana Ayasa practicing beach volleyball. Haruka decides to try it for herself and eventually drags Kanata to play. Her team only need to score one point to win.
However, she was no match against Narumi and Ayasa. Haruka almost scores a point thanks to Kanata, but Narumi blocks the ball, causing her team to win. Narumi agreed to have a revenge match with Haruka, but only on one condition. Haruka and Kanata needs to practice and train first.
I have to admit that Haruka is very attractive. She is tall and stands out like Kohiruimaki Karen from Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online. Thankfully, Haruka doesn’t seem to have a complex regarding her height. In comparison, her cousin, Kanata haven’t grown at all. Despite this, I have to admit that she is cute, especially when she saw Haruka undressing. Also, Haruka along with Narumi and Ayasa looks very attractive in their swimsuits.
As for the volleyball match, it’s obvious that Haruka despite her athleticism will lose against Ayasa and Narumi. This is not surprising since beach volleyball have differences that Haruka is not used to. Also, Narumi didn’t like how much of an amateur. The lack of teamwork with Kanata and Haruka throwing the word Ace didn’t make things any better.
Still, it’s funny to see how many times Haruka messes up during the match. Thankfully, Haruka realizes that volleyball and beach volleyball is not the same as the latter requires teamwork. Even so, it’s funny to see how Kanata didn’t tell Haruka that she had a match against champions at their high school. It’s obvious that Haruka and Kanata will still have a hard time, although the result might differ in the rematch. After all, Kanata did play beach volleyball before she quit.
Overall, the first episode is enjoyable. It’s nice to see Haruka being cheerful and very expressive. While I wonder why Kanata stopped playing beach volleyball, there are some hints why. One of them is of course her parents passing. Hopefully we will learn more on why Kanata quit beach volleyball soon. I think it’s because of her short stature. Nevertheless, I have to admit that Kanata’s pet turtle is cute.
