As the festival inches closer, Miyuki is worried about Izumiko.
From the looks of it, it seems that the festival will be reenacting fights that actually took place in Ancient Japan. It seems that Takayanagi already wants her. Because of this, it makes me wonder if he tricked her to become a model to bring out the Himegami. It’s just fishy how a middle student suddenly becomes unable to do her position in the last-minute. While I admit that Izumiko looks pretty cute in traditional Japanese clothing, the whole thing already shocked Miyuki and Murakami. Thankfully, the Himegami didn’t take control of Izumiko while everyone was there, since it would feel awkward if it actually happened. However, Miyuki got a surprise waiting for him once she starts scolding Izumiko.
On the other hand, we get to see Himegami take over Izumiko’s body again and having a blast while Miyuki becomes anxious. Compared to the last time we saw her, she looks somewhat seductive and unwilling to give up control. But underneath it all, it seems that she is a god that is trying to stop the destruction after living through several generations. This makes me wonder, why did she choose Miyuki to help her with such an important task? While we don’t know why, it seems that Wamiya was in Miyuki’s body to grant him special powers. This can explain why wings sprouted last time.
While Red Data Girl remains an interesting and intriguing story, I feel that at this point, there is still a lot we don’t know. It’s probably the reason why most people feel puzzled about the show. Still, stakes are high for the festival as the barrier goes down at the school. Nevertheless, I hope Miyuki, Izumiko and the Sagura twins will hold up in their challenge against Takayanagi so that they can help achieve Himegami’s goals of saving humanity from an awful fate. ¶
