The iDOLM@STER – Episode 6 – Producer-san’s Panic Attack

August 16, 2011 by Chikorita157 Leave a Comment
It seems that Miki completely misunderstood the Producer as usual.

765 Production’s future now looks brighter as Ritsuko’s new idol unit Ryuuguu Komachi got approved with Azusa, Ami and Iori being a part of it. While they work on their gig for their debut on television, the Producer becomes increasingly anxious that it leads us to many unforeseen mistakes.

Azusa's new hair style looks kind of cute...

From the first glimpse of the new idol unit Ritsuko is planning, it looks very promising. The outfits that the girls wear looked gorgeous, especially on Azusa. Not to mention, Azusa got a haircut and everyone is raging about it. Honestly, I don’t see anything wrong with it. Sure she looks prettier with long hair, but her hairstyle looked too similar to Chihaya’s. Besides, I kind of liked her short bob hairstyle; it makes her look younger and cuter.

Unfortunately, he didn't give this job to Makoto or Hibiki... but instead Yayoi of all people! I kind of feel sorry for her.

Behind the scenes, the Producer became panicked that he must get jobs for the remaining girls so they won’t feel left out. From here, it’s easy to understand the stress he is going through because anyone would have reacted this way. However, I think from the heightened need to beat Ritsuko has caused him to make more mistakes than he normally does from a lack of experience. He simply shoved the documents and CDs in the other producer’s face. Also, he aimlessly places the girls in the jobs that don’t fit their personality and talents. This leads us to hilarious results such as Takane having her pictures taken in frilly outfits and Yayoi being afraid on the set. To make matters worse, two events got booked at the same time. At least Miki saved the day with her amazing performance.

In the end of the day, the Producer has to realize that he is not alone and has the girls to support him along the way. Being a producer is not an easy job and he shouldn’t do everything on his own.  Also, he has to recognize that Ristuko is only in a friendly competition with him and he shouldn’t take it too seriously. If he follows her examples by blending the right talents for his unit, I’m pretty sure he would be just as successful.

Besides that, Ryuuguu Komachi’s first TV performance was pretty good.

Producer-san needs to have some of Haruka's sugary doughnuts after a day of hard work.
