As I recalled, I skipped the first episode because of prejudice, but after watching the first episode, the episode consist of 65% fanservice and 35% actual content… The first episode wasn’t bad, but with the fanservice going on, it was too much. As I thought about the first episode after it aired, isn’t the title “Purity” a oxymoron?
The second episode however…. You have to find out by clicking “read more”.
In the beginning, Yuuto was watching Nocturne High School Lacrosse (yes, it contains very familiar characters) at the same time Haruka was watching it at home. Next day, Haruka walked with Yuuto that made everyone else jealous and she almost let out her secret. Shinna invites Haruka and others to a hot spring. The arrive at the hot spring and later the Nogizaka Maid Team devices a plan to get Haruka and Yuuto alone. Next day, while walking to somewhere, Yuuto suddenly grabs Haruka after she came over to him to asks whats wrong. Yuuto reveals that he wanted to take Haruka to a “Nocturne High School Lacrosse” event at Akihabara. Although they didn’t have tickets, Nobunaga helps him out and Haruka thanks Yuuto for her memorable memory at the event.
Haruka decides to make Nocturne High School Lacrosse doujinshi for a event. Meanwhile, the Nogizaka Maid Team was eavesdropping on what Haruka and Yuuto that made Haruka’s father slash the door with his katana and reveals that Haruka and Yuuto was just making doujinshi. Yuuto helps Haruka with the doujinshi all night long. While they were making the doujinshi, Mika shows a album of Haruka as a child and other pictures that made Haruka embarrassed. Next day, Shinna goes to Yuuto’s house to ask for him to go out on a date to the movies, but find herself in trouble with… (uhhh… yets don’t mention about it). They started to sell doujinshi, but finds out that the ones Haruka made weren’t selling that well. While Yuuto was getting a drink, he finds Nobunaga and he encourages Yuuto saying that doujinshi purpose isn’t to sell, but the process of making it. This cause Yuuto to run back and telling to look at their doujinshi and soon Haruka joins in. Afterwards, one girl came over and buys it since it was her favorite episode. The success of selling the copy had Haruka in tears and hugging him afterwards. After the event, Haruka was happy, although she only sold three copies and they promise to have another doujinshi circle next time… Meanwhile… Shinna at Yuuto’s home… let’s not mention that…
First Episode: They seem to gone overboard with all the fanservice with this one that 65% of the whole episode consist of fanservice and the other 35% with non-fanservice stuff. This episode was good, but the fanservice was the issue… Censorship with the steam is not the fault of the studio since the TV station seem to heavily censor stuff like this, but there is another version that didn’t have this much steam… at least it wasn’t blatantly censored poorly like putting crows to cover the suggestive parts.
Second Episode: I find this episode more enjoyable than the first with her father chopping the door down thinking that Haruka and Yuuto was doing naughty things when they are just making doujinshi. This episode didn’t have that much fanservice, except Shinna being molested… which isn’t the greatest ending. That part is only the thing that bothered me a bit, but this episode was so sweet with Haruka hugging Yuuto that it causes diabetes. I think they make a good couple and what keep me watching is that Yuuto, unlike some leads are complete losers and jerks…
Overall, the second season is good, but there are flaws which prevents me from making it something better than what it is currently, but it’s good romance for having a unique idea of having a almost perfect girl be a closet otaku…
Purity was a misleading title at first, but after the second episode, it most likely refer to the relationship between Haruka and Yuuto…
