It looks like Suzuka made a new friend…
Since I’m not watching much this season, I decided to watch some older stuff and finish the backlog. With that, I have decided to start the second season of Nanoha.
That is one feisty girl.
As you would expect, the first episode of the second season starts where it left off. Most people said that the sequel is a big improvement over the prequel and this episode seemed like it. It basically starts with Fate awaiting a trial for helping her mother in collecting Jewel Seeds. Basically, the first half of the episode is rather subdued as another girl, Hayate Yagami has a magical artifact activate in front of her eyes. She also interacted with Suzuka briefly.
She is finally back to protect Nanoha.
On the second half is where the action starts. Nanoha fights against a mysterious red hair girl who is out to fill a mysterious evil book. That girl caught me by surprised since she never said her name. In spite of that, she nearly beats Nanoha. Needless to say, the first battle was rather exciting even though the stakes are high. In addition to that battle, three other characters were introduced and plays a big role in the next episode. This makes me wonder how Fate, Yuuno and Arf will face this new threat
Overall, I think the sequel is going to be an exciting one since all the characters from the last season already got introduced. However, I have a feeling that they will start shoving Yuuno and side characters into the background while Nanoha, Fate and Hayate gets more screen time. Even so, I hope the next 12 episodes will give us some more exciting battles like the last season. ¶
