First off in the DVDs I have got, I decided to take a look at the first two episodes of Tears to Tiara, an eroge RPG game made by Aquaplus’s Leaf. Basically, it’s takes dark ages that involve an empire like Rome with various myths associated to the time period.
From the first and second episodes, the scene that shows a corrupt priest want to kidnap Rhiannon, which is Arthur’s sister for his evil plans. He wants to revive the demon king Arawn by sacrificing her to get rid of the misfortunes that were happening. Meanwhile, she loses her conscious as a result of revealing her real name. Later, the others realize that Rhiannon is missing and invades the place to save her. Arthur eventually saves his sister while Arawn resurrects. Arawn then kills the priest and breaks the spell on Rhiannon. While the priest followers ran away, Arthur decides to attack Arawn until Rhiannon protects her and puts a scarf on him. Afterwards, the two boys work together to fight the zombies so everyone can get out of the cave.
After I watched the first two episodes, Tears to Tiara an enjoyable and interesting show. Basically, the kidnapping of Rhiannon and Arthur saving her is pretty much the most thrilling moment I have seen so far with all the fighting and the possibility that she will be sacrificed. Of course, it was quite the opposite and ended up pretty funny with his sister Rhiannon teasing him with her red scarf. It seems that Arawn wants to build a harem with all the girls falling for him. Even though there is no incest between Arthur and Rhiannon, he is protective of her and doesn’t want Arawn to have her.
As for the animation and music, it’s pretty good. Not much to comment about them, but I do like the ending themes made by Yuuki Aria (Blue Sky, True Sky and Weeping alone). In addition, I’m using the hybrid version of the DVDs (contains Dubs and Subs) and the English Dub was decent, except Arthur sound like he has something in this throat.
Overall, Tears to Tiara has a promising story so far and considering that I haven’t played the game, I don’t actually know what will happen. Hopefully future episodes remain interesting and fun as I continue to watch this show.
