At last, Rikki help relive Komari’s sadness by rewriting the story!
Coming back at the comparison to Sayuri’s situation with her younger brother, you can see that Komari’s situation is more depressing for the fact that her older brother tells her that it’s a dream. From the forgetful chickens, it seems that he want to relieve the sad things in life such as death so she can forget about it and become happy again. Obviously, that has some unintended consequences, especially when she did the same when her mother died and started to scream while crying as she recalls her older brother’s death. It was so bad that a dead goldfish evokes this feeling. Believe it or not, it’s kind of heartbreaking to see this cycle happen over and over. No wonder why Kojirou doesn’t want her to visit him. He knows that his time is almost up and that she will react in the same way if nothing is done.
Thankfully, I’m glad that Rikki didn’t have her accept him as her older brother and did something about it. One of the clever things he done is take the content in the old picture book and make a new picture book that doesn’t have the chickens forget where they were born from. In addition, he emphasizes friendship since you know that it’s the thing that makes life exciting. However, one of the fascinating things he done is leaving the remaining pages blank. This allows her to fill in the fond memories that she had with her friends.
While this arc felt short and some people find it boring, it had dramatic and heartwarming moments. Believe it or not, it’s so heartbreaking to see her depressed the same way when Yayoi got bullied by those mean girls. That is beside the point since there is probably more details in the visual novel that the adaptation didn’t bother going over due to time constraints. Aside from that, I’m happy that she returned to her normal self and we can finally get the show on the road by recruiting more members.
Welcome back home Komari! *_*
Now Saigusa’s time to shine and the drama will start to get bigger and bigger. *cries*
Surely we cannot forget about Haruka… but hopefully they keep up the faithful adaptation as I haven’t finish playing the visual novel… Stuck in the beginning because I have to look up a lot of words, but isn’t too bad.
