Yep, Ika finally gets her own invasion club so she can take over mankind! Sort of…

I have to admit that I was quite annoyed this week since I couldn’t watch anything. Therefore, I did not have anything to blog about for the past two days. Apparently, a particular video game called The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim released yesterday and it has ruined everything through mass delays of subs. Let’s get our pitchforks and torches so we, the 99% of the anime bloggers can shred that game into pieces…
Just kidding because Working Second Season Episode 6 relived some of that rage that I have pent-up inside myself.

Ika Musume is finally back after a week of hiatus, thus brightening our day with more hijinks.

In the past, Kyoto Animation has made a few notable slice of life shows involving a bunch of schoolgirls. Particularly, Lucky Star and K-ON is their most popular works in the genre. With the production of Nichijou, it takes a slightly different take of the genre opposed to gradual character development and references from the Otaku subculture. Instead, it focuses mostly on slapstick comedy sketches that place characters in wacky situations. (Image Source)

After all that drama, the girls fight on and show their fame on a live variety show. Believe me, it’s really fun.

Oh god, what are the children doing? It looks like an act of brainwashing for an evil plan or something. Either way, you better run for it before they take over your mind!

A year has passed since the first season of Working (aka Wagnaria) aired and it brought entertaining comedy involving some restaurant workers with eccentric personalities. Few minutes into the first episode of the second season, that punch is finally back!

In the final two episodes, Nichijou ends off with a bang. Given the heartwarming and the exciting ending, it gave me some positive aspects I want to reflect about. (Image Source)

Finally, the second season of Ika Musume has invaded the blogosphere with the first episode. Of course, if you interested in watching this show and haven’t watched the prequel, I highly suggest doing so before jumping right in or you can get lost pretty easily.
Like in my previous posts of this show, I will split the post into three parts on each sketch showing by brief thoughts about it.

The challenge is on for 765 Productions (led by Ryuuguu Komachi) as they complete an idol-sporting event against other agencies. Unfortunately, there is one group of girls who aims to dampen their spirit to win.

I have to admit, I’m not a big fan of the Futami twins because they are out of control. Despite the cliché storm in their mystery, they were still entertaining.

Sorry about that long delay… Since the subs got delayed for the past two weeks due to some extraordinary circumstances, I had to put this show off and watch some of my backlog. Gratefully, episodes 8 and 9 were finally released today, so I’m confident that I will get caught up by Monday.
As for this episode, Azusa getting lost and a group of bodyguards chasing after her was a fun experience. All of this happened with her wearing a nice-looking wedding dress.

Well, sort of… It’s not like she had a choice or anything.
It felt like a long time since Tantei Opera Milky Holmes ended back in December of last year. This show was particularly fun not because the girls were adorable, but for the outright hilarious comedy that didn’t involve the overused tsundere archetypes. With a second season coming next winter, I can only wonder about the shenanigans Milky Holmes and the Genius 4 will be up to.
For now, we have the summer special [1. The special took place between episodes 7 and 8.], which centers on Kokoro’s journey of becoming an idol shortly after the G4’s demotion for failing to capture Aresenè among other things.

It has been a very long time since I have written about Nichijou since I decided not blog the series and watch it only for enjoyment. Since I last written about it in April, I felt that it’s necessary to share my thoughts briefly on the second half while focusing on a few favorite moments I watched so far. (Image Source)

Since the class trip is finally over, the Kissuisou Inn gets an opportunity of a lifetime… a movie production!
