It feels like yesterday since I started blogging back in 2009 during my freshman year of college. Since then, the overall anime blogosphere landscape changed a lot since then. I saw some bloggers quitting/going on an endless hiatus along with others starting new blogs replacing the dead ones. If you notice the lack of weekly Anime Digests, it’s mostly because I didn’t have much to say for the past two weeks. Therefore, I’m won’t be doing them until the spring season. For now, the focus is now on the midseason impressions for the current season.
Compared to last year, this year has been pretty underwhelming season considering that we had two great shows (Madoka Magica and Hourou Musuko), which you may already have fresh in your mind. I have to admit that while the first season of Working had some flaws, it was one of the most enjoyable comedies because every worker had a quirk that contributed to it. With the second season completed back in December, it improved a lot while showing more of what I liked about the whole show. (Image Source)

Like Anime, video games had played a big role in my life after I was introduced to it during my childhood. After some thought, I felt the need to share my experiences with video games and how it influenced me to watch Anime since these two mediums are closely related to each other. Despite finishing the grammar in the first book, I have to admit that I fell behind because I played too much Idolmaster 2 instead of studying Japanese. Since the spring semester started about three weeks ago, I’m playing catch up and hopefully I can cover lost ground. Either way, this self-study progress will only focus on the short/casual forms.
