Dog Days Double Dash – Final Review
It has been a little over two years since the second season of Dog Days have aired. I have to admit that the sequel improved every aspect of the first season. Instead of focusing on melodrama that felt out-of-place, it introduced another kingdom into the war games while bringing Nanami and Rebecca into the mix. To me, the second season was an improvement since it had a lot of enjoyable moments.
Although Seven Arcs announced a third season, we didn’t hear much about it until last year when they announced that it would air in 2015 during winter. With that, did it live up to the two-year wait?

Forget Twin Tails, Ponytails are the Best!
You might be wondering, which hairstyle looks better, twintails or a ponytail? Naturally, Twintails are the cutest since two is obviously better than one. Today, I realized that twintails are so overrated when I saw the light. Obviously, ponytails are the best and I will tell you why.

Liebster Award Reprise
Back in 2013, I decided to answer some questions that were created by an Anime blogger named Silvachief. Of course, I didn’t know that this event was still going around since Overlord-G who is the author of The Yuri Nation decided to tag me with more questions. Because I have done several of these in the past, I may as well do another.

Weekly Anime Impressions – Winter 2015 – Week 9 – Shirobako and Dog Days Double Dash
This week has been bad (not only traffic noticeably dropped in the past few days, but also in real life) as the Job Search appears more difficult than I thought. While it’s easy to relate to Shizuka for the fact that she still haven’t received a voice acting role and got rejected many times, she hasn’t given up. I shouldn’t let this setback bother me too much considering that others have it a lot worse. Eventually, it will come.
Now that I vented my disappointment out, it’s time to focus on this week’s Anime impressions…

Winter 2015 Anime Season Preview
Given that I am 2/3rds done with Pocket Monsters Omega Ruby, I’ll leave the review for next week. For now, I’m going to focus on what shows I plan on watching during the winter. Even though I will have more free time since I would have graduated at the end of this semester, I will only cover two shows and share rest of the impressions in a weekly post.
As always, this list is subject to change from now until the actual season starts.

My Anime Music Tournament Picks
Unless you are living under the rock, a fellow blogger named zzeroparticle who runs the Anime Instrumentality Blog has created the first tournament for Anime Music. If you like listening to Anime Music like I do, go ahead and nominate your favorite songs. But in this post, I’m going to discuss the top ten songs I nominated. As always, my picks are subjective so you don’t have to agree with them.
So, what criteria did I use for my nomination ballot? First, I only considered opening, insert songs and ending themes for shows I have watched and listened. Second, I also factor in how good the song sounds along with how memorable and enjoyable the song for my nominations. While my choices are biased for recent Anime, hopefully you won’t judge me.
With that, I will share the top 5 picks I nominated for the tournament first with some arrangements on the piano. (Image Source)

The Best and Worst of 2012 Anime
As 2012 finally comes to an end, I felt that this year is rather subdued for Anime. Although there were some Anime that received some rave reviews that I didn’t watch, I was still satisfied by what I have already watched. Not only that, I only dropped one show this year compared to two in 2011. Still, there were some disappointments, which I want to go over.
For now, I will list my top whatever lists of best Anime in 2012 along with some disappointing/worst ones. (Image Source)

Dog Days 2 – Final Review
When I first watched Dog Days on my Macbook Pro while heading to Minnesota back in 2011, it was a fun show. However, the story was average and the injection of drama did not fit well with the lighthearted feeling of the show. A year later, we now have Dog Day’s Dash, which is the sequel where Shinku returns with his childhood friend, Rebecca to the fantasy world of Flonyard. Also, his older cousin, Nanami joins in the fun. With Seven Arc’s track record on second seasons being better than the first, I wonder if the same can be said for Dog Days. Let’s find out!
