After meeting the magical girl, Aoi Riri, Shigemoto puts Kana on a special assignment for a joint project for Miyakodo. As expected, Kana didn’t expect that she will go shopping and have tea.
As expected, Kana’s expectations get blown as Riri goes clothes shopping for Kana. She had her try on various outs. Some of them look cute, of course. Sure, Kana wasn’t expecting this. It was apparent she was having a lot of fun until she had to carry all those bags before arriving at the café.
She eventually asks Riri if buying all this stuff for her is okay. It’s part of the training to buy clothing and cosmetics. After all, Miyakodo is a makeup company, so it’s not too surprising to see this. On the flip side, after the credits, we see the same treatment Kana received with Riri when she was a new hire at Miyakodo. Of course, Riri also picks out the same foundation she wears for Kana and buys it for herself.
Of course, she mentions that the Magical girl’s job became dangerous and has a bad reputation, but she wants to change that and show them the joys of the job. It shows that two girls seem excited that they met her in person. It shows that reputation means everything.
With that, they eventually headed to their work site as they dropped off the shopping goods. As expected, Kana and Riri show off their transformation to each other. As expected, it’s not surprising to see Riri’s transformation to be elegant. Of course, Kana gets nervous as they go to an upscale hotel, and Riri eventually talks about expensive sweets. The funny thing is that Kana realizes that if she messes up, it will look bad for Magilumiere. It’s weird how Kana imagines herself being insulted by wealthy young ladies.
They eventually did their Kaii inspection on the roof. Eventually, Kana’s dress got caught, and Riri helped her out. Eventually, they found nothing, as Kana did her best at her job. Of course, Riri noticed a noise at the demolition site when she went to check. Eventually, Kana finishes the report and hands it in before checking on Riri, as she is a bit concerned.
After handing the report in, she went to the demotion site, and apparently, a Kaii absorbed the debris and threw it back. Riri bursts the pipes so the Kaii would make expanding difficult. Eventually, people started watching the construction site, which made the situation dire, and they needed to finish it.
When Riri asks if Kana can do the magic she used at the shopping district, Kana is about to execute the attack magic. However, the Kaii eventually launched icicles at Kana and Riri covered for her. When there is blood coming out as she takes the bunt of the attack, things don’t look good. Is she going to get killed off, or will she make it? We’ll find out next time.

@chikorita157@chikorita157.com It was interesting that Shigemoto mentioned Miyakodo’s magic is not as advanced as Magilumiere’s (which is probably why Lily breaks pipes physically rather than with magic). Given the budget they seem to be working with, you’d think they’d be able to allocate more to it.

It’s not too surprising since Miyakodo is mostly a makeup company and that they only have one person in the magical girl department over there. Probably she is there for promoting products to other magical girls.
