Kana finally becomes an official employee at Magilumire. Of course, they face the biggest magical company’s magical girl snatching one of their jobs, and another job challenges Kana’s magical strategies, which she reads from textbooks.
At the beginning of the episode, Shigemoto hands in the paperwork for Kana’s new job and the terms and benefits. That is along with Kana’s pay. When she checked the amount, she didn’t expect to get paid this much. Hitomi, of course, mentions that Kana’s job comes with a lot of responsibility, and Kana realizes this.
On the other hand, the CEO of a big magical girl company cuts the contractor Magical Girl’s pay for taking too long to finish a job and proceeds to cancel the contract. That is before calling a lady to find him another magical girl to hire and even say to poach employees. It sounds like an evil CEO trying to monopolize the magical girl market.
Eventually, Hitomi and Kana had an assignment for a Kaii that looked like a tornado. After Hitomi examines it, they decide to deal with it. However, a different magical girl steals the job they are doing. Hitomi is unhappy about this magical abusing loophole she improperly invoked to steal their prey, although it doesn’t affect their pay. On the way back, Kana asked about this, and Hitomi revealed it was from the AST Corporation, the biggest player out there. Either way, Hitomi wants to get ramen.
Eventually, the magical girl, Tsuchiba Mei, delivered the goods. When the CEO of AST opened a briefcase with money, they seemed happy with the immediate hire until he saw that Mei had taken the job from Magilumire. He shut the suitcase and had his clients dragged out. Yep, he knows how to screw them over. The funny thing is that Kana sees the CEO of this company on TV as she has breakfast before realizing the time.
When Kana entered the office, Shigemoto mentioned that the ribbon had come off his cosplay and wondered what to replace it with. Kana is studying a wide range of magic circles since they are low-cost and highly effective. It’s funny how Shigemoto and Nikoyama argue about how the ribbons should look. Hitomi mentions that Shigemoto sells her soul to magical girls.
With that, Kaede finally shows off the next assignment. It’s about Kaii in a market district that the council wants to deal with as soon as possible. While the area is big, the Kaii is small, so he proposes using a magical circle, which is the one that Kana reads. However, Shigemoto thinks it’s best to deal with them individually. Kana believes magic circles are better since they are easy and cost less than textbooks. However, Shigemoto wants them to examine it before picking the method. Otherwise, it’s against the company’s ideals or what he calls it. Aesthetics. Before they receive a call, they must deal with it now.
After examining the district, they find out a few things. Besides the Kai growing, it’s affecting the sewers and water tanks. It seems very extensive. After Kana realizes it’s an old shopping district with old buildings, she soon discovers that she can’t use a magic circle as it can damage the historical areas, which means they will never be the same. In other words, they have to deal with them Individually, although we know AST will just use a magical circle and call it a day, no matter how much damage this method takes. Kana has a ridiculous idea of shooting magic into the sewers to defeat them, but the magic doesn’t exist. Of course, Shigemoto says they will find a way to pull it off as they can take risks from being a start-up. The question is, can they pull off something like this?
(Also known as Magilumiere Co. Ltd.)
@chikorita157@chikorita157.com You’d think they’d have mentioned the heritage status in the job specification
You mean magical girl by family? I doubt it is mentioned since they are using magic through technology of course.
@chikorita157@chikorita157.com Nah, I mean the shopping district being a historical town
Okay, I got what you mean, it seems a little confusing given the original comment.
