Now that summer has ended, while it’s a little late, it’s time to share what I plan to watch this season. As always, this list is subject to change.
Love Live Superstar 3rd Season
Studio: Sunrise
Air date: October 6, 2024
At last, Liella is back, now with two more members. We know from last season that Wein is now part of the group as she decided to transfer to Yuigaoka last season. Of course, there is another new member, which I won’t spoil. The third season will probably focus more on the subunits that debuted last year: CatChu, KALEIDOSCORE, and 5yncri5e. I have listened to the Subunit’s debut albums, and the songs are good.
Kabushiki Gaisha Magi Lumiere
Studio: JC Staff
Air date: October 4, 2024
When this magical girl show announced an anime adaptation, it seemed interesting. Sakuragi Kana, a college student, has difficulty finding a job, even after several interviews. Eventually, she gets hired at a Magical Girl startup after helping a magical girl out. From this,
Mahoutsukai ni Narenakatta Onnanoko no Hanashi
Studio: JC Staff
Air Date: October 5, 2024
This show focuses on a talented girl who can’t get into the mage class despite having perfect scores for three years. Even so, she admires a certain someone, which is most likely the blonde-haired girl. We’ll find out in the first episode.
Acro Trip
Studio: Voil
Air Date: October 2, 2024
I’m unsure what to think about this, although it’s another magical girl anime. Of course, Chizuko seems to admire Berry Blossom a lot, which is one thing that is going for it. We’ll see how it goes in the first few episodes.
Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online Second Season
Studio: A-1 Pictures
Air Date: October 5, 2024
While I didn’t watch this when it originally was in 2018, I recently marathon the whole series in three days, and it was an enjoyable watch. As they say, the spinoffs with female protagonists are usually the most enjoyable, and this is no exception. A review of the first season will eventually come soon.
Yes, LLENN is badass and adorable. I enjoyed how Karen, who plays LLENN in the VR game Gun Gale Online, developed and gained confidence in herself and overcame her height complex while becoming skilled at the game. Of course, the developments with Karen and Elsa (who plays Pitohui) are the most interesting, which makes me wonder about the future developments of this pairing. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how it plays out.
These are the shows I’m possibly covering this fall.
