With Lene exiled, Claire feels a bit down. However, a particular young lady who is also interested in Rae transfers into the academy. Well, Rae gets a bit jealous.
At the beginning of the episode, Claire feels a bit down. It’s not the same for Rae to brush her hair or make sweets. However, someone who might cheer her up is this silver-haired, short-haired lady named Manaria Sousse, who has an interest in Claire. Sadly, she got driven away from even possibly getting the throne as she was a princess, but now she isn’t. Of course, all the female students seem obsessed with her.
Why Claire spends a lot of time with Manaria when she stays with a different family temporarily. She consoles Claire during the difficult time of losing her mother and eventually cries a lot. To Claire, Manaria is her prince charming, except she is a girl dressed as a boy. This is interesting since Claire is interested in Manaria despite showing prejudice towards Rae for her preference for women. Yet, after discovering she is a girl, Claire doesn’t change her love for Manaria.
Yep, Rae shows her jealousy subtly, not unlike a certain light blue-haired maid. Rae knows that Manaria exists to help the main heroine get closer to one of the three princes. Since Rae is not aiming for any of them, Manaria is just another obstacle in trying to win over Claire’s heart. Seeing Rae distracted with her jealousy towards Manaria as she overpoured tea in the cup was funny.
Also, we get to see Manaria’s magical capabilities against Rod. As expected, Manaria is a quad caster with a high aptitude for earth, water, and fire magic, with wind magic being exceptional. That can explain why she ultimately outwitted Rod with the Spell Breaker, which leaves Rod vulnerable.
Claire, of course, obsesses over Manaria’s performance as Rae gets more jealous. Of course, Claire can tell, making it evident since Rae is seriously in love with Claire. Remembering that poem about that scale that determines who will marry the priestess. Of course, the man who gave the flowers married the prestress while the other became the king, as stated in the Poesue Amour poem. Yep, it’s obvious where this is heading. From the preview, it looks like Rae will challenge her.
