As for determining the fourth show to cover, there is two potential to pick out from. First, we will look at Rougo ni Sonaete Isekai de 8-Man-Mai no Kinka o Tamemasu. This is where Mitsuha falls into an imaginary world with no idea where she is.
As expected, Mitsuha went through a lot. Before graduating in her last year of high school, her parents and older brother died in a car crash. So now, she is the only one left alive in the family with no idea where she is. But at least she survived the fall from the sky with minor injuries.
Mitsuha walked around the world and into a forest, where she collapsed. A young girl named Colette found Mitsuha collapsing in front of her and brought her back to her house. While it’s too early to see if Mitsuha will develop any relationship with her, Colette is cute. Unfortunately, Mitsuha couldn’t communicate with them since they spoke another language, and she could not talk to and understand them. However, the wounds on her hand at least healed.
Of course, despite her older brother’s death, she gets advice from her mind. It seems he is not much older than her, although he is a big otaku with all the anime merch and knows everything about the Isekai genre. Since they are blood-related, I don’t think he poses much of a threat. Also, it’s probably too early to know what kind of relationship Mitsuha will build with Colette and the other girl in the poster image.
Mitsuha accompanied Colette in gathering some food. Mitsuha struggles to understand what is poisonous and not, although she eventually gets the hang of it. She ultimately notices a bunch of wolves about to attack. She pushed Colette up a tree for safety as she had the wolves chase after them. When the wolf was about to attack, she grabbed a rock but teleported back to the real world.
Yep, Mitsuha being able to teleport herself from the imaginary world to and real-world reminds me of Otherside Picnic in that respect. She grabbed a bunch of weapons and saw that beckoning cat statue before transporting back. She defeats the wolf that tried to attack her while the two others run away scared. Of course, Mitsuha collapses after defeating the wolves.
During a dream, she talked to the beckoning cat statue her older brother gave her. It finally explains the powers Mitsuha has to travel between different worlds after tearing part of its powers during that fall. She can heal as well. Then, of course, she receives the most crucial ability to understand foreign languages. That way, they will talk to her in Japanese instead of gibberish.
After waking up at Colette’s house, Mitsuha receives thanks for dealing with the wolf. Colette apparently took care of the other two, who tried to run away. At least she understands them now as she devises a way to take advantage of her new powers and tries to earn a lot of gold. It’s not like Mitsuha is the only one that came up with this idea. Yep, it only took her receiving some gold that she could probably sell stuff from her world and build wealth. After all, a college education doesn’t come cheap, with universities jacking up tuition. Also, the idea of going into massive student loan debt is probably the least attractive for Mitsuha.
Overall, it’s a decent start, although I wonder what kind of relationship Mitsuha will develop with Colette and the other lady she will meet eventually. I guess a few more episodes might do it, although Ayakashi Trianglemight be more interesting, we’ll see.
“Kicking someone in the balls that are about to attack her somehow got her transported into another world.”
Yeah, makes sense-
Definitely not too surprising at the very least, but still funny way to get isekaied, temporarily..
