Apparently, Jahy has another rival we don’t know about. Also, it’s obvious that Jahy wants to earn more money without working.
When the demon realm still existed, it seems that Saurva wanted the number two position. Yep, she was very jealous of how Jahy has the easy life. Of course, during her time in the demon realm, she attempts to defeat her, but ends up every time. Not too surprising since Jahy has a lot of protection.
This time, since Saurva is in the real world, she might have an advantage. She finds Jahy petting a dog and thinks this is the best time. She has a chemical mixture that allows her to power up. Sadly, she accidentally drops the tube when she lost track of Jahy. Yep, the dog licked it up and it grew huge. Of course, the dog develops a liking for Saurva. A local youth group had to save her. Now that is embarrassing.
Despite this setback, Saurva didn’t give up. She decides to develop a pill that allows her to transform into Jahy. By transforming into Jahy, Saurva can make a fool of her by doing things that ruin her reputation. She didn’t realize how revealing her outfit and how large her breasts are. Of course, the landlady appears and demands rent.
Saurva thought she can ruin Jahy’s reputation by telling the landlady that she won’t pay. She didn’t realize that the landlady was that vicious. Yep, she ends up giving in, paying the rent. The funny thing is the real Jahy didn’t pay it. In short, Jahy got off rent free.
Saurva as Jahy walks by a bar and the owner saw her. Yep, Saurva saw this as a good opportunity as she sits on a table demanding a drink. Of course, the Owner drags Saurva to get ready to serve customers. In short, she basically did Jahy’s job, but she finds out how nice the owner was. The funny thing is that Jahy overslept. As expected, the Saurva’s plan to ruin Jahy’s reputation basically backfired. Better luck next time?
In the second half, Jahy finds out that she spent nearly all her money. If you recall, she wasted money on Dojima’s meal and equipment that she lost to obtain one small mana crystal. Now, Jahy only had 607 yen, not enough for her basic needs.
To focus on her quest to gather more magic crystals, she wants to make money without doing work. You would think she would invest money on the stock market to buy stocks or cryptocurrency to receive passive income. Nope, she ends up blowing all her money in the marketplace on food. Not too surprising since the food on an empty stomach is tempting.
Eventually, the owner notices that Jahy is struggling. She is wondering if Jahy is taking care of herself. Yep, she looks famished. While she denies wasting her money on food, the Owner realizes that Jahy spent it all. She decides to give her paycheck early and of course, Jahy starts crying. Yep, she managed to get by. Hopefully, she will use her money wisely next time.
In the last segment, Jahy becomes a mangaka as she hits the deadline. Dojima is her assistant as Jahy tells her not to answer the phone. The Landlady is the editor. Yep, Jahy manages to finish the drawings just to accidentally spill ink on it. Yep, all that effort gone to waste, sadly, but not too surprising.
Saurva really did do Jahy a favour in this episode. Money was already really tight even without paying the rent. I can only imagine what would have happened if was forced to pay rent with her meagre savings…
Perhaps next month Jahy will spend her money more wisely and not get into a similar bind. But this being Jahy you just know that future calamity is never far away!
Saurva’s unexpected kindness yes definitely a big help for Jahy, but still a drop in a bucket. But hopefully she will learn how to use her money wisely and not frivolously spend it, hopefully.
