Shibuya Kanon loves to sing. She really wanted to get into the music program at Yuigaoka Girls High School. However, something happens that causes her to become upset.
Note: As expected, there was a long delay since there is a deal that results in this show releasing a 1-2 days later. We will only share my thoughts on the episode when the episode officially comes out.
It’s obvious that Kanon enjoys singing. However, when she auditioned for the music program at her school, her crippling stage flight causes her to become unable to sing. Yep, it’s obvious that she didn’t pass the audition. She didn’t take it well as she acts cold towards Aria. It’s obvious that she can’t get over not getting accepted in the program.
As she goes to school while listening to music while singing, she meets few of her friends. Before that, she ran into someone from the same school becoming amazed by her singing. Yep, is it love at first sight? It becomes obvious who it is.
Still, it’s funny to see her ask Kanon to sing with her as school idols in Chinese. Yep, this freaks her out as she runs away from her. Still, I must admit that it’s hilarious as Kanon tries to speak to her in broken Chinese. She manages to escape when Chisato runs into her. She saw that her childhood friend, Chisato made it in for dancing.
After the entrance ceremony, Kanon introduced herself to the class. Of course, the girl she ran into becomes excited. The girl eventually introduces herself as Tang Keke, who is an exchange student from China.
The interesting thing is that her voice actress, Liyuu is from China. She can speak Japanese, but not quite fluently yet. Of course, she is not the only one. As another recent example, in Tokyo 7th Sisters, Ru Thing, who is also born in China, but raised in Japan. She voices Maezono Rishuri in the idol group, Nanabana Otome. The only difference is the character she voices is Japanese.
That said, I find it hilarious how Kanon runs out of the class when it ends to get get away from the school idol obsessed Keke. Yep, she seems more obsessed about it compared to Honoka. She even holds a sign and passed out flyers.
Yep, she eventually saw sight of Kanon and chases after her until they got exhausted. She introduces herself and asks her to become a school idol together. Of course, Kanon turns it down since she is not cut out for it. Keke insists that Kanon can do it since she knows that Kanon loves singing. Of course, Hazuki Ren is not having any of this and doesn’t think school idol belongs at her school. It’s not too surprising since her parents manages the school.
In the end, Kanon decides to help Keke out. She also reveals her crippling stage flight, and she can’t sing in front of an audience. She eventually decides to help her out find members, but she couldn’t find any. Of course, Chisato turns it down since she is only good at dancing. Heanna Sumire of course scares her off. Despite this, Keke still insists that Kanon should join and give it a try.
Eventually, Kanon chances her mind and give it a try. As they say, if she doesn’t try, it won’t become a reality. Perhaps she can get over her stage flight eventually. The question reminds, when will Chisato, Hazuki and Sumire will give in? We’ll find out eventually.
Always at my happiest when Love Live is airing.
Gen 4 looking good so far. Very excited to see how the other soon to be Liella girls join the team.
Yep, it took so long, but it’s a fun episode. Hopefully we will see more developments between Kanon and Keke of course.
