Assault Lily Bouquet – Episode 12 (END) – The Final Blow to Victory of Love

December 27, 2020 by chikorita157 2 Comments

Yuyu reunites with her Dáinsleif.

With Riri being the only one being able to use a Charm, it seems that Yuyu have another plan. That is taking her former Charm that Misuzu tampered with.

Now that Riri decides to face the Huge, it seems that Yuyu have one more option. Yes, this involves Yuyu taking the Dáinsleif. Of course, the Huge is emitting waves that are very similar to Lunatic Trancer. This of course sucks the Magie away. Yuyu eventually takes the Dáinsleif, which activates her Lunatic Trancer ability instantly. She eventually attacked the Huge, protecting Riri while in berserk mode. Also, the barrier weakened, making it possible to use Charms again.

Thankfully, Yuyu saved Riri.

Thankfully, Riri manages to snap Yuyu out of the grips of her Lunatic Trancer. Meanwhile, Fumi and her friends in the Hitotsuyanagi Squad try to come up with a strategy. Yes, it seems that Riri slipped the special bullet into Kaede’s jacket before she left. Either way, they managed to pull it off thanks to everyone’s help. Of course, due to how immense the magie is, it basically broke every Charm besides the Dáinsleif of course.

At least they had a nice break before the last part of the fight.

As always, it’s nice to see the girls take a break at a hot spring after the huge battle. Of course, the academy is heavily damaged thanks to the Huge. Also, there is one more ultra-class Huge that Moyu found that is responsible for everything. Now, the ultra-class Huge is now at its most vulnerable that it’s their best opportunity to defeat it.

Interestingly, the damage caused by the Huge caused massive damage to the academy.
Time to slowly head to their target with a parasol.
At last, they finally defeated the Huge.

With that, Yuyu and Riri went into the Ultra-class Huge’s nest. They stuck the Dáinsleif with a bug spell to defeat it. Of course, Riri needs to do it since she has the Charisma skill. I have a feeling that she might have something that rivals Misuzu’s Laplace rare skill.

It’s nice to see Yuri thank Riri in her dream.
Nice to see some more Yuyu and Riri.

After defeating the Huge, it seems that Yuyu undoes something to create a protective bubble to bring them back up to the surface. During that time, Riri sees a vision of Yuri who thanks her. That is until Yuyu calls out Riri’s name sharing the news they defeated the ultra-class Huge. This is when Riri tells her that she saw Yuri. Also, she thinks that Misuzu still loved Yuyu to protect her despite her not visiting her. After all, Riri felt her feelings in the Dáinsleif.

Moyu and Miriam is now happily “married.”

In the end, we see the school’s newspaper showing that Yuyu and Riri defeating the Huge nest. Next to it is of course Miram making Moyu her Schutzengel. How they presented it make it seem like they got married. Still, I knew that this would eventually happen.

Final Thoughts

As expected, Assault Lily: Bouquet brings together two good things, cute girls fighting aliens and of course, yuri. Sure, some might write the show off as being another advertisement for a mobile game, but to me, it’s enjoyable. The battles are good for the most part.

As expected, there is the characters and the yuri-pairing. Yes, they are very familiar to other class-S yuri genre shows. Still, I like most of the pairings and how the Riri and Yuyu pairing developed. Riri manages to use her “charisma” to defrost the ice queen, Yuyu with post-traumatic stress from losing her Schutzengel, Misuzu. Of course, I find it cute how Kaede fights over Araya to win Riri’s heart.

Even so, while the cast is huge, the main cast and of course the animation is nice. If you are into cute girls who fight monsters with some yuri, Assault Lily might be your thing. Still, I hope to see more in the future, animation wise and not just the mobile game of course. ¶

My #2 favorite anime of 2020. The action was excellent. The animation got better as the show progressed, the ladies regardless of how much or little screen time they got were all glorious and of course the yuri was choice.

Riri and Yuyu’s blink and you miss it kiss was beautiful.

While Kaede proved herself a yuri legend she’d better give up sooner or later for her own sanity but I imagine she’ll keep on fighting until YuRi officially tie the knot.

Speaking of marriage my two favorites getting married was a fantastic surprise!

While this show is ranked differently on my list, I did really enjoy it for what it is. Yes, there are so many characters, but it’s nice that is focused on Riri’s team and the characters are really enjoyable.

Sure, Kaede didn’t win, but I am sure that Riri is definitely not creating a harem of her own, but happens to created one. Still, it’s nice that Moyu and Miriam got a nice ending.
