Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka? Bloom (Third Season) – Episode 2 – Phantom Thief Sharo Steals Everyone’s Hearts

October 17, 2020 by Chikorita157 3 Comments
Phantom Thief Lapin finally appears!

At last, I never knew that Phantom Thief Lapin looks very familiar. Also, Chiya finally receives some bonding time with Sharo after what happened last time.

The episode starts off with a show within a show. A rabbit detective is trying to protect a special necklace that is on display. However, it suddenly disappears in front of them of their eyes as Phantom Thief Lapin used a special technique to take it without a trace.

I have to admit, Lapin with all the charm she has kind of looks like Sharo.

As she escapes, she uses her playing cards to perform the Royal Straight Flush at all the guards to immobilize them with the feeling of infatuation. As she makes a getaway, the detective screams at Lapin. Still, I find it funny how Cocoa forgot to do her homework and blames Lapin for stealing her time. Still, I find it funny how Chino says that Cocoa did this herself.

Sharo is disappointed she doesn’t have a TV to watch Phantom Thief Lapin. But Chiya wants to watch a horror movie.

On the other hand, Sharo really wants to watch Phantom Thief Lapin. It’s not too surprising since Aoyama She finally borrowed the Blu-ray for that show she looks forward to. Sadly, she doesn’t have a TV. I find it funny how while Sharo becomes disappointed, Chiya is peeking out of the window while wearing a ghost maiden costume. It’s obvious that she wants to watch a horror movie with Sharo, but she doesn’t want to.

Sharo and Maya understands each other.

Still, I wonder what is the getup Chiya is wearing.  Sharo finally asks and apparently Ama Usa An is having horror week. However, Sharo doesn’t seem scared of Chia even though Megu and Maya are. Apparently, Cocoa, Rize and Chino is planning something, and it may have to do what Maya and Megu wants to do.

Either way, Maya and Megu wants to do a special activity with Sharo and Chiya. That activity is of course an adventure to a house in a forest. Apparently, that have some things in common. Yes, the hair length and height. Chiya is happy that Megu and Maya gets along well, but for Chiya and Sharo, not so much.

I find it funny how Rize is missing Chiya as a target with her water soaker.
Sharo freaks out over a bunch of rabbit stuffed animals and Tippy.

After reaching fork in the path, Megu and Maya decide to have a test of courage. This leads to some nice moments with Chiya and Sharo. Rize hiding in the forest tried to aim for Chiya with her water soaker. However, she ends up hitting Sharo instead. Still, I find it hilarious that she couldn’t hit Chiya, but ended up soaking Sharo instead. Rize moans, which kind of scares them. This is when Chiya notices that Sharo is wet. This moment reminds her of their childhood when Sharo cried a lot.

Yep, Cocoa’s big scare didn’t go well as planned.
Everyone witness the aftermath of what happened.

While Sharo admits that she changed since her childhood. For instance, she finally got used to rabbits. However, in this instance, this is somewhat ironic. After seeing a bunch of rabbit plushies and Tippy, she becomes scared. As she runs away, they eventually arrive at the cabin. That is after Chia and Sharo tripped and fall in the mud. When Cocoa tries to scare them, Chiya covered in mud scared her. Yep, Cocoa’s plan to scare them didn’t quite go to plan.

At least Chiya and Sharo grown closer now.

Still, it’s obvious that Cocoa arranged a test of courage. After all, she noticed an upset Chiya when Sharo won’t hang out with her. I guess Sharo saying that she doesn’t want to work at Ama Usa An from last time didn’t help either. Even so, it seems that Sharo enjoyed it although she won’t admit it. Still, it seems that Sharo is willing to watch the horror movie that Chiya wants to watch. I guess thanks to Cocoa’s plan, it seems that they got closer.

Cocoa enjoys imitating Lapin’s famous pose.
Aoyama is now raking in the big bucks.

In the second half, Fleur de Lapin is apparently having a corroboration with Phantom Thief Lapin. Yep, Sharo dresses up as Phantom Thief Lapin. Sadly, she feels dissatisfied since children won’t go to her. This is kind of surprising since Aoyama based off Lapin’s character design on Sharo. Of course, Sharo wears the same outfit Lapin wears in the video game. Yes, believe it or not, this series also received a video game back in 2016.

Despite looking like Lapin, Sharo can’t attract the children to her.
Cocoa’s reaction when she hears Sharo’s troubles is funny.

Of course, Cocoa manages to imitate Lapin perfectly that a girl seems to enjoy it. The funny thing is that Sharo is wearing the glasses Lapin usually wears, but she can’t imitate her properly. She shares her disappointment to her friends. I find Cocoa’s reaction when she hears Sharo’s troubles quite hilarious.

Cocoa decides to help Sharo out.
It seems that Sharo finally got Lapin’s signature pose down.
I find it funny how Sharo manages to steal Chino’s heart.
Sharo gives Cocoa a special present for helping her out.

Thankfully, she learns how to imitate Lapin by watching the actual show and Cocoa helping her out. Yes, they had a viewing party and it seems that Sharo managed to get everything down. Yes, Sharo’s version of Lapin was perfect, so much that it steals Chino’s heart. Cocoa becomes upset when that happens. Even so, Sharo gives Cocoa Lapin’s mask, which her work has plenty of. Now, Cocoa thinks that by receiving the mask, Sharo expects a favor in return, Of course, Sharo becomes upset at Cocoa for not believing her.

Finally, Sharo finally got what she wanted until…
It seems that Sharo is not happy that Cocoa stole her attention.

As for Sharo’s performance of Lapin, it seems that she got it down that the children seem like it. That is until Cocoa shows up and shows her version. Now, the children now think Cocoa is the real deal. I guess Sharo’s efforts went down the drain as Cocoa stole the show. As you would expect, Cocoa manages to upset Sharo. I guess she shouldn’t have given the mask to Cocoa knowing that this will happen.

Nice Halloween episode. Syaro and Chiya had cute besto friendo moments. Glad they were able to hang out more.

Syaro with the line of the week, intentional or not. Pretty sure it was considering who she’s in love with.

Yes, just in time too. Still, it’s nice to have more Sharo and Chiya moments, even if Sharo has a crush on Rize.

But yes, Sharo is mostly in the spotflight this week. After all, Aoyama based Phanton Thief Lapin on Sharo after all.
