Sansha Sanyou – Episode 4-6 – Cat Photo Taking Rivalries, Maid Bakeries and Fun at the Beach

April 28, 2020 by Chikorita157 Leave a Comment
Yes, during Youko’s childhood, she did that laugh.

With that, we delve deeper as Teru and Futaba helps out at Shino’s bakery. Also, that beach episode finally arrives.

First off, we left off from the fourth episode as we learn more about Youko’s, Teru’s, and Teru’s childhood. I find Youko’s childhood quite funny since two of her friends came over and they did the young rich lady laugh. Sure, Youko doesn’t do that anymore, sort of, but some things don’t change. She still does it when she cooks the beef and fails. Still, it’s interesting that Shino looks the same back then and now.

This can explain why Teru is the model student. She didn’t get the present she wanted during Christmas.

Also, Futaba’s childhood memories is predictable since she is a big eater back then and even now. As for Teru, she got upset that she didn’t get what she wanted for Christmas. She wondered if it’s because she is naughty. I guess this is the reason she became motived at getting better grades.

As expected, I can’t get enough of this pairing.

As expected, we see the rivalry between Serina and Teru become tense. Serina becomes annoyed that Teru’s cat photo made it into a magazine. Now, she want to outdo her. She attempts to take photos of her new cat, but it seems that it didn’t go so well.

Believe it or not, wearing cat ears is enough to take good cat photos.

While the camera is an issue, but the saying goes, the best camera is the one you have. Sure, Teru brags about using a DSLR to take her photo, but it shouldn’t matter what camera Serina uses. Still, I find it funny how Serina wore cat ears while taking a photo of her cat thinking it would work. Sadly, the cat wouldn’t stay still. Not to mention, she couldn’t get a clear shot thanks to her poor photography skills.

Youko receives a taste of normal high school girl life.

But aside from that, it’a nice to see Teru and Futaba take Youko to a hamburger joint. I guess she never went to once since she has a sheltered life. With that, we learned that while Youko’s mother passed away and her father’s business went bankrupt, he is still paying for her room and board.

Still, I wonder what her father is doing to make a comeback. Also, Yu, one of Youko’s friends finally shows up. He is pretty much useless mostly because he obviously has a crush on Youko despite the huge age gap. I don’t really see why he needs to be in this story since she is a really useless character. I can understand why Yamaji is there. Yu on the other hand is a waste of screen time. He does not need to exist. For future episodes, I am not going to mention his name at all. Thankfully, Youko doesn’t seem to think much about his crush.

As expected, being a big eater, Futaba has good cooking skills.

Lastly, Futaba and Teru finally comes to visit Youko. Apparently, Youko messed up cooking the gourmet beef from you-know-who. We already know that Youko is really bad at cooking. I find it funny how Futaba, the black-hole eater knows how to cook well. I guess this is obvious.

It sems that Youko has it rough.
Teru in a maid’s outfit.
Luckily, Futaba doesn’t have to wear a maid outfit.
Futaba when it comes to food is a good saleswoman.

With that, we finally see that Youko exhausted herself from working at Shino’s bakery. She got a bump on her forehead at a restaurant from hitting the table. While Youko took a rest, Teru and Futaba helped out on the bakery. I find it funny how Teru wore the maid outfit, but Futaba didn’t. I guess it’s because it fits her. As for Futaba, the uniform kinds of make her look like a teacher. Still not bad at all.

As expected, Kou is here to make “healthy” deserts!

Of course, Kou eventually shows up. She ends up helping out by making deserts that doesn’t taste good. Even so, I find it hilarious how these creations managed to sell. Also, Teru’s rival, Serina finally shows up and sees Teru in a maid outfit. It’s obvious that she finds Teru cute, but won’t admit it.

Obviously, Serina is interested taking a stab at working at the maid bakery.
As expected, Serina really looks cute in this outfit, but she won’t admit it.
It seems that Shino didn’t forget to take those photos of Serina.

Somehow, Shino knows that Serina has a thing for Teru and even makes a maid outfit for her. While Serina seems to enjoy wearing it, but won’t admit it, she manages to make it through the shift. Plus, she now has enough money to buy that camera. Of course, Shino gets some great photos of her as well.

You would think that Youko would enjoy the beach for the first time. Well…
She is afraid of getting a tan.
When it comes to food, Kou always shows up.

With that, this leaves the moment everyone was waiting for. Yes, it’s the beach episode. I find it funny how Youko, Futaba and Teru becomes disappointed that they have to work at a restaurant shop on a beach. Believe it or not, Youko wears a lot of clothes since she is afraid of getting a tan. The funny thing is that Futaba doesn’t seem to care and actually prefers having a tan. She was completely tan the next day and looks good with one. Obviously, she is looking forward to the barbecue on the beach on the second day.

Futaba is disappointed that the beach is now closed.
Youko, Teru and Kou witnesses Futaba’s disappointment.
It’s funny how Serina shows up and Youko, Teru, Futaba, and Kou is there.
Believe it or not, Kou is determined to teach Teru how to swim.

The girls finally change into their swimsuits and sadly, the beach closed thank to shark attacks. This is quite funny since another anime that Doga Kobo worked on, the same exact thing happened. Thankfully, you know who gave them tickets to use a hotel pool, so it’s not a complete loss. The funny thing is that Serina and her friend was there, causing her to become fired up by Teru’s presence. Also, it’s funny how Kou is trying to teach Teru how to swim against her will. Aside from that, the beach episode definitely did not disappoint. It was very enjoyable.
