Oshi ga Budoukan Ittekuretara Shinu – Episodes 1-3 – First Impressions

January 23, 2020 by Chikorita157 2 Comments
It’s like love at first sight.

While I didn’t plan on Oshi ga Budoukan Ittekuretara Shinu, I have to admit that I enjoy idol shows sometimes. With that, we will focus on one with a young lady falling in love with a certain idol from a rather unknown idol group.

Eripiyo is a young lady. After two idols from a group called Cham Jam approached her, she checked them out.  After watching their show, it seems that after seeing Maina, she instantly fell in love with Maina at first sight. As expected, while Epriyo became friends with Kumasa and Motoi, who are also idol otakus or wota, they are still enthusiastic about different members of the unit. They are fans of Reo and Sorane respectively. I have to admit that Sorane is pretty as well.

Despite having a nose bleed and a broken arm, she keeps on going for Maina.
As expected, Maina is shy.

As expected, Eripiyo is so dedicated to Maina that she will do anything. After all, Maina has as she has hardly any fans except for her. When Maina introduces herself, Eripiyo received a nosebleed. Somehow, she still wants to do the handshake despite having a nosebleed and a broken arm. I have to give Eripiyo a lot of credit. She has a lot of dedication towards her crush. Still, have to give the wotas props as they managed to stand in line in the hot heat to attend a special event.

The funny thing is that Eripiyo kind of reminds me of Myanee in one respect. She wears her clothes from high school, especially that track suit. Not only that, it’s the same color and almost the same design. The only difference is that Eripiyo’s pants are slightly shorter.

Believe it or not, she sold all her nice clothes for Maina merchandise.
Maina’ and Eripiyo’s reactions when they saw each other at the show.

I have to admit, this is funny since she used wear decent clothing. I guess she really needs all that money for the Maina merch. This shows when it comes to attending a fashion show, she wore the same tracksuit. However, she wore a Cham Jam t-shirt with prettier hair. Thankfully, when Maina saw her, at least she didn’t get upset at her for her appearance. In fact, she happy to see her there. She even texted her the reason she was able to do it. It’s because they had an outfit that fits perfectly on her.

Sure, Maina heard Eripiyo’s true feelings, Eripiyo still nervous on how to interact with Maina. After all, Maina eventually wants a fan letter from her. Sure, Eripiyo is afraid to do one since she thought it would be a lost cause. She eventually decides to give her a stack of fancy paper with stuff written for her. The funny thing is one of the crew members accidentally threw it out of the window and it went everywhere after a mouse freak out. I guess by chance, she will see it. Still, it’s over the top as Eripiyo hopes to see Maina as the center someday.

Eripiyo goes over the top to get closer to her crush.

Moreover, I find it funny how Eripiyo tries to be the ideal person Maina wants and that gender doesn’t matter. The funny thing is that Maina seems to like her the way she was. It’s too bad that Eripiyo is somewhat oblivious despite liking her a lot. Even returning home, Eripiyo saw Maina and decides to go to another car on the train. It’s understandable since the expectations of her being a big fan falling in love with an idol is hard to grasp. Not only that, Maina is still shy, which makes their relationship progression a bit harder.

Rena and Eripiyo found something in common, Maina.

Aside from that, there are still some nice moments beyond Eripiyo and Maina. Rena eventually becomes a casual fan of Maina after seeing her at one of the events. While you think that Rena will become Eripiyo’s competition, she is not. In reality, Rena is preparing for college. Sure, she complains about her buying all the Maina merchandise, at least Eripiyo gave her one. That can explain why Rena is not that obsessive compared to the other fans. Still, it’s nice to see them getting along.

As expected, Eripiyo and Maina is not the only yuri pairing.

Lastly, it seems that Yumeri and Maki is awfully close to each other. It’s apparent in one scene when Maki mentions that she saw Yumeri in the audience. Maki shares her desire to be in the show with Yumeri next year. From this, I guess they are probably more than just friends. It will be interesting to see if there are more developments between the two as the show goes on. Aside from that, Oshi ga Budoukan Ittekuretara Shinu is enjoyable so far. While there are two male idol wotas, they aren’t that bad. They are just passionate about the idols they enjoy.

I have no issues with the slow paced main romance. It’ll hopefully pay off in the end.

Cham Jam are a lovely group.

Eripiyo and Kumasu are awesome. 3rd guy is there most of the time. I really like Rena though.

Favorite members are Maina, Maki and Yumeri for obvious reasons. If we’re talking sexiness then switch Maina with Sorane.

No issues whatsoever. Still, the development is nice, especially given that Maina has hardly any fans, besides Eripiyo of course.

But yes, most of the idols are enjoyable, but yes, you can’t forget about that pairing besides Eripiyo and Maina of course.
