Kandagawa Jet Girls – Episode 5 – Misa, Rin and Hell’s Kitchen’s Challenge

November 12, 2019 by Chikorita157 3 Comments
Happily married?

Now that Misa and Rin won a race against Jennifer and Emily, their relationship finally grew closer. Also, the idol pair finally makes an official appearance.

Fumika’s reaction is priceless.

From last time, Misa’s and Rin’s victory against Jennifer and Emily brought them closer. With that, Rin announced to the whole club that she and Misa has joined together at one. The reaction from the other members was priceless, especially Fumika spitting out her drink.

As expected, this logo is cute.
While Misa is embarrassed, it’s obvious that she likes it.

Obviously, this sounds like a love confession as Misa and Rin is now cannon. It becomes very apparent when Rin reveal their logo. I have to admit that it’s really cute. However, Misa seems embarrassed of it and doesn’t want Rin to plaster it on their jet ski. Deep inside, it’s obvious that she liks it. Also, I find it funny how Hina congratulates Misa while the club advisor asked for dating advice.

The cafe owned by Hell’s Kitchen is kind of interesting. The waitress does something similar to moe moe kyun.
Dina and Ziyu taking photoshoots.

Of course, the main highlight of this episode is the idol duo. Rin and some other girls took a look at a commercial from them. Apparently, the idol duo, Dina and Ziyu is part of an idol group, Hell’s Kitchen. If you are wondering if the idol unit’s name is inspired by the said reality show of the same name by a certain famous chef, it’s not. The idol group apparently has nothing to do with cooking. While Misa ask Misa if she wants to take a look, she refused. It’s obvious that she is not that interested in idols.

Rin seems to love hugging other girls.
Misa obviously wants a hug.

With that, when Misa and Rin decided to practice using the simulator, it apparently broke down. Kiriko took a look at it. Apparently, some of the components became damaged. In short, they need to go to Akiba to get some parts. When Rin hugs Kiriko, Misa becomes jealous. It’s obvious that she doesn’t like how Rin hugs other girls when she becomes embarrassed when Rin does it in public. Thankfully, Rin invites her.

Kiriko with Rin and Misa shopping for supplies.

The next day, they went to Akihabara to get some parts. Misa and Rin eventually split up with Kiriko as she continues to find parts. I guess this is Rin’s chance to make up for last time. This is until she shares her desire to see Hell’s Kitchen’s performance, after eating at a café run by them.

Misa sulks in the corner after realizing that she still doesn’t have Rin’s phone number.

I guess Misa’s chance at a makeup date with Rin is now ruined. She didn’t want to go with Rin the next day. Instead, Misa is seen sulking in a corner after she realized that she still doesn’t have Rin’s phone number. Still, I find it cute how she tries to practice in front of the mirror to ask for Rin’s phone number. When Rin came home, Misa tried to ask her for it, but she went into the bath. Eventually, Misa will get to her, she needs to gain the courage to do so.

Hell’s Kitchen challenges Misa and Rin to a race.

The next day, when Misa and Rin prepare to practice using the river, they found out that someone stole their slot. Yep, Hell’s Kitchen start talking down Rin’s and Misa’s victory as a fluke. It didn’t end well as they receive a challenge to prove their skills. Rin and Misa will have a hard time beating them, but will they be able to beat them? We’ll have to wait and see next time.

Rin X Misa’s romance is precious. I can’t get enough of their development.

Hell’s Kitchen didn’t do much but the screen time they got was quite nice, yes.

Rin defending their victory was so good. Hopefully they’ll find a way to calm down and work together again to beat the sexy twins.

I agree and it’s not too surprising since Rin really wants to use that friendship seal, which Misa finds embarrassing. Still, it’s quite obvious that she wants a hug.

A win is a win no matter how you look at it.
