Now that Yuu decided to help Touko with the play, Koyumi starts working on the script. With that, we delve into Sayaka’s past relationship and feelings for Touko.
From last time, Yuu was reluctant to go through with the play. However, she changed her mind since she doesn’t want to lose Touko. Since Yuu can’t really reveal Touko’s true self in the script, this makes it somewhat difficult to incorporate her character into the script.
Despite Yuu start calling Touko by her first name, Touko becomes flustered. I have to admit that her reaction is cute. Sadly, Yuu can’t share this aspect about Touko. This is despite of Touko calling Yuu by her first name and Yuu not overreacting to it. Of course, Yuu is not the only girl whom she addresses in a first-name basis. Touko also calls Sayaka by her first name too. This is mostly because Sayaka is Touko’s best friend even though she has feelings for her.
Aside from that, we learn more about Yuu’s Japanese literature teacher, Riko. Sure, she chastises Akari for doing badly in her class, she is apparently in a relationship. When she came into the café where Sayaka, Touko, Yuu and Koyumi met at, Miyako welcomes her back. It appears that Riko and Miyako are close. Believe it or not, they live together and eventually kissed. In other words, they are in a relationship with each other. Apparently, Miyako want to keep the relationship a secret, but Sayaka eventually figures it out. More on that later.
Besides that, the main focus of this episode is on Sayaka. Apparently, she was in a relationship with another girl during middle school. Sayaka thought it was a serious relationship since she already decided her sexual orientation and prefers relationships with other girls. However, her girlfriend at the time believes that their relationship is one of those that they will eventually grow out of. Yes, it’s one of those dreaded Class Srelationships that never result in a full-blown relationship. This is frustrating, especially for Sayaka since she likes girls. This fact bothers her as she focuses on being the top of her class. That is until she met Touko.
Sayaka knows that Touko holds everyone at a certain distance and not allow them to get close to each other. From this, she is hopeful that someday it will work out with Touko after she confesses and she accepts her feelings in return. The question is, will Yuu get there first before Sayaka can share her feelings at the right time? Touko acting close to Yuu complicate matters for Sayaka.
Sayaka eventually comes to the café to meet Miyako who works there. She asks about her relationship with Riko. She finds out that Riko is in fact Miyako’s girlfriend. In a way, Sayaka wants to prove her ex-girlfriend wrong by saying that a relationship between two women is normal.
With that, Sayaka talking to Miyako in a way helps her to put the frustrations of her past relationship behind her so she can focus on Touko. Given that Miyako understands what Sayaka is going through after hearing her experiences, this is not surprising. Either way, for now at least, Sayaka will maintain the status quo, rather treat Touko as her best friend until the time comes. Still, I wonder if Sayaka will be able to share her feelings to Touko at the right time before Yuu does. Even then, how will Touko react to either of them when the time comes. We have to wait and see.
Sayaka may be cursed but she’s hanging in there so that’s somewhat reassuring, though she knows there will come a time she could snap.
Yuu and Touko remain adorable despite Touko’s controversial personality.

Hopefully there is some hope for Sayaka, but you never know if she still have a chance. But yes, the scene where Yuu calls Touko by her first name is cute.
We will surely see more pot Miyako and Riko in the future.
“Touko-senpai. Touko-senpai. Touko… -senpai.” What a tease.
I do hope Sayaka can find a lovely woman of her own.
I’m glad to see an adult yuri couple in this.
Yuu really know how to tease Touko, in a good way.
I wouldn’t count Sayaka out yet, but the chances are pretty slim. Still, it’s nice to see a adult lesbian couple, especially one Sayaka can get advice from.
