Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card-hen – Episode 10 – Sleepy Akiho and Return of the Roller Blades

March 12, 2018 by Chikorita157 Leave a Comment
Akiho pays a visit.

While Sakura is making dinner, a special guest ring the doorbell. Yes, it’s Akiho.

With her father and brother at work, Sakura started making dinner. Eventually, Akiho rings the doorbell. It’s not too surprising to see Akiho pay a visit since Sakura visited her house two episodes ago. At least, this gives Akiho the chance to have some bonding time with Sakura as she brings over cookies. Obviously, Kero wanted some too.

Akiho and Sakura having some bonding time together.

The nice part of the episode happens when Sakura shows off her costume collection. Thankfully, she didn’t accidentally reveal that they are actually battle costumes. To alleviate this, she shows Akiho the photos of a play during elementary school. Apparently, Sakura played as the princess while Syaoran is the prince. Does this remind anyone the edgier crossover that CLAMP also made where Sakura is an actual princess?

Aside from that, Sakura started cooking dinner. Meanwhile, a strange orb of light of light followed Akiho downstairs. More on that later.

As expected, Akiho wants to learn how to cook from Sakura.

With Sakura finished cooking, Akiho tasted the food and it was delicious. While she asks Sakura to teach her how to cook, Sakura wonders why Akiho won’t receive training from Kaito. Apparently, Akiho wants to learn from Sakura so Kaito can eat her cooking. It’s obvious that Sakura understands that feeling. With that, she agrees to help her.

Kero witnesses a sleeping Akiho.

After a while, a strange orb goes into Akiho and she starts falling sleep. As expected, Sakura and Kero tries to go after the orb. Before they know it, it went outside. Once they got outside, the house is entrapped by a labyrinth.

Thanks to Sakura’s roller blades, she is able to capture not just one, but two cards.

Like the last episode with the familiar outfits, Sakura takes out the roller blades. Yes, it’s that time again. Obviously, Seige was useless in capturing the flying orb because of the labyrinth. She eventually resorts to using Kero and Gravitation on himto trap the orb so she can capture it. I have to admit that this is clever. Afterwards, she captures the card responsible for the labyrinth. With that, she captures two cards, Snooze and Labyrinth in one go.

A red moon can only mean one thing: bad things will happen in the future.

In the end, while Akiho is embarrassed over sleeping during dinner, hopefully a card won’t interrupt her next visit.  With that, Kaito came to pick her up. As they walk home and Sakura went back inside the house, something is up with the moon. Not only it’s big, it’s blood red. This gives one a hint that something bad is about to happen. What is it? We’ll find out soon enough.
